Advertisements are produceed to help sell a product and to make it known. You can see advertisements in magazines, on television, in the newspaper, they come through the post and are on billboards. In my essay I intend to find the differences and similarities between adverts for a men's fragrance and a fragrance aimed at women. The men's fragrance is not a new product it is a limited edition fragrance. The product aimed at the women is a completely new product. I chose these two products because i was interested in the different ways the same product would be advertised to men and women. In the mens product "Lynx", there is a picture of the deodrant and shower gel in the bottom right-hand corner, it is a dark blue shower gel bottle with the brand name on it. The deodrant is overlapping the shower gel, the deodrant can is half dark blue and half lighter blue as it gets to the bottom. Next to the product the product name is in dark blue and is in quite small print. The background is a picture of two hills covered in snow with two tree's on top of the hills, one on each hill. The snow has shades of blue in it. The two hills wih the a tree on top of each oneis in the shape of womens breasts. This could say if you wear the fragrance then you would get the women after you and liking you. They have used light colours because the fragrance name is "Get Fresh" and blue and white are clean and fresh colours. They have put shades of blue in the white snow so that the advert does not look two plain and boring. They have chosen the colour blue because blue is represented for boys. In my second advertisement the "Glow by J Lo" advert ha... ... middle of paper ... ...tisers have chosen a serious way to advertise the product because it is aimed at older women. Thats the reason they have chosen words like perchase instead of buy and fragrance instead of scent. The use of "YOUR FREE DIAMANTÉ HEART PENDANT" is written in capitals to catch your attention and to make you think that you are going to get something for free, but you still av to spend at least £25 on the fragrance before you get the free gift. I think the "Lynx" fragrance advert is more effective because it has less text to read then the "J Lo" advert, so if someone is passing by in a car or walking they would not be able to read ll the text in the "J Lo" advert and would not get the message the advert is trying to put across, where as in the "Lynx" advert it is straight to the point with just a few words and a picture.
Most of the trees have straight trunks with thin smooth bark with branches that don’t branch out until around 100feet
“I think I see a sunny spot Dani, let’s go warm up.” I say. The day was warming in the parking lot. Small piles of snow melting next to the concrete. Under the trees circling Bear Lake it is damn cold. Memorial Day Weekend at Rocky Mountain National Park and one side of the Lake still has three feet of snow covering the path.
there has been no rain for quite some time. There are hills in the distance that have a
The bold print also indicates for the woman to remove her clothes, or for the viewer to do so. Everything is very clean, clear, and appealing to the eye. There is a highlight around the woman’s body leaving her look like she’s glowing. The weight scale is indicating that the woman has lost weight and she is shocked by how much she weighs now. The company displays this petite woman which advertises, if you drink their product then the consumers can look like her. This add is posing as a sex symbol for men and is showing younger women that they should look like this woman in the ad. This ad is also indicating that only ‘sexy’ and ‘healthy’ woman can produce healthier milk.
Comparing Advertisements For this comparison, I have chosen to compare two car adverts. The first The advert I chose was from the car magazine "Autocar" and this is an. advert for a Chrysler PT Cruiser. The second advert I chose was from the "Sunday Times" and this is for a Fiat Ulysse.
A Comparison of Two Advertisements Introduction Advertising and media are part of everybody’s everyday life, with or without them realizing. Each day we see adverts on the television showing us new lifestyles that look glamorous, we hear adverts on the radio, we see slogans emblazoned on people’s clothes, on the side of buses, on billboards, everywhere!! Big companies know that they need to make their product appeal to as many ‘niche markets’ as possible and they do this by ‘audience segmentation’. This is when companies make an advert so that it would appeal to one type of person, and then another advert for the same product but for a different type of person. Although it is hard to know exactly when there target audience will be watching, companies will spend lots of money researching.
An analysis of the signs and symbols used in Patek Philippe Geneve's "Begin your own tradition" advert.
The way that this advertisement is presented, it would be considered a soft sell. First off one idea behind a soft sell is that the brand is already established, and believe me Disney is already a well established company. There is so much happiness and positivity that is associated with Disney. It has been around for a long time and has grown exponentially world wide. Second the picture focuses mainly on the image of popular singer Taylor Swift, but she isn't just ordinary Taylor Swift. She is dressed like and has the hair of Rapunzel the princess. This is putting two well admired people together to make people want to be even more like them and it is suggesting Disneyland is the place where this dream can come to life. Lastly toward the top left of the picture it says “Where a world of adventure awaits.” This statement is not tell you really anything about the product itself, how it's used or even what to do with the product. It is simply suggesting there is a world of adventure that awaits you and that the Disney parks should and could be part of that adventure. Also the colors of the ad make it seem a little dark and mysterious, but then there is Taylor Swift as Rapunzel in a beautiful purple dress with her long locks of hair glistening in the light. Plus the white birds sitting peacefully next to her it give the image a very calm and peaceful feel. It is definitely appealing to a more emotional side. This ad takes a popular music artist which many little girls look up to and strive to be like and a well known princess whom little girls also look up to and put them together into one person. This has double the power of making these little girls want to be more like Rapunzel and Taylor Swift, to do ...

Television commercials are television programming produced by any organisation to provide message in the market about their product or services. It is one of the most popular methods to attract customer and provide them information about their products or services.
I found that the text was small and difficult to read. The placement of this specific text was off the side which gives the impression that it is not important. The text in each product was short and included needed information about the product but was very difficult to read. The text is a grey color that is not enough contrast that makes reading the text difficult. The writing for these products is concise, informative, and easy to understand.
The snow that was predicted to be several inches by the end of the weekend quickly piled up to around eight inches by that evening. At times, the snow was falling so heavily you could hardly see the streetlights that glistened like beacons in a sea of snow. With the landscape draped in white, the trees hangi...

The ad itself is fairly large, taking up four full pages, which feel a little bit thicker than the pages in the rest of the magazine. Many people will notice the ad not only because of its size but also because of its coloring. All four pages of the ad are filled with eye-catching green grass and a bright blue sky. On the first page, lying on top of the grass are various models of the High Definition Televisions from Samsung and a playful looking girl with her back turned away from the televisions and her ...
