Of Mice and Men is a classic book written by John Steinbeck, Gary Sinise took on the difficult role of directing and starring in the film. Sinsie played George Milton the best friend of Lennie Small played by John Malkovich. The two migrant workers travel around Weed and Soledad California trying to earn money so they can fulfill their dream of owning a farm. Throughout the movie all the actors/actresses portrayed the characters really well, but John Malkovich who played Lennie Small made Lennie seem more slow than he was described in the book which made him seem more insecure than he actually is. Sherilyn Fenn who plays Curley’s wife, makes the audience feel sympathetic for her. However, in the book the audience couldn’t really feel sympathetic for her, so Sherilyn did an amazing job showing emotion. In both the film and book Candy (Ray Walston) has a missing hand, but in the film Walston shows his hand a couple of times. You could see that he was just holding it in his shirt, they could have done a better job hiding it. Overall the actors/actresses did amazing. …show more content…

The hook made you wanting to watch more and more to find out what was happening. The set design was spot on, the scences were wonderful. When the men were working the background as so beautiful. The cinematography was so intense when Lennie and Curley were fighting, they zoomed in on Lennie’s face and it was interesting but at the same time it was gross. The music in the background perfect, it came in on the right time and and kinda set the tone of the scene. At sad times they played sad music and at Happy times they played cheerful
