When I used to live in Texas, my cousins and I had dared each other to do some of the wildest things. One time my cousin said to run around the neighborhood at midnight and to blast loud music. For the person I am, I would have said no but i wanted to impress my cousin. I did not want to do it at first, but i took a risk just so I can impress my cousin and to show him that I am a daring person. By taking the risk of perhaps being in trouble, I dared myself to run around the neighborhood. I dared myself into doing something i would not have done in a million years, but I chose to. One missed shot could have gotten himself killed or captured. Therefore, the IRA Sniper is daring since he put his life on the line by firing his revolver while being in lots of pain. Another example of the IRA Sniper showing the daring trait is when he lit up a cigarette. The IRA Sniper knows he might give away his position because of the flame but he does it anyway. “He paused for a moment, considering whether he should risk a smoke.
