Based off the quote just stated, it is obvious to say that Bradbury believed a person must make mistakes in order to learn things in life. In today’s society, people go out, do what they need to live in the easiest and fastest way possible. Not many in today’s society go out of their way to make life a little more interesting. In Fahrenheit 451, it is looked at as to be unquestioning similar to today’s society, especially by the violence in people, and technology advancements, though some may say there society is moving at a much faster pace than today 's.

Different standpoints would include the thought of the society in Fahrenheit 451 being much faster paced. “‘I sometimes think drivers don’t know what grass is, or flowers, because they never really see them slowly.’ she said. ‘If you showed a driver a green blur, Oh yes! he’d say, that’s grass! A pink blur! That’s a rose garden! White blurs are houses. Brown blurs are cows…’” (9). Bradbury explains how the speed limit people are driving in Fahrenheit 451’s society is set at a much higher number. For this reason, some may say that today 's society is not up to that pace yet and people are still able to picture the beauty our world has to offer while looking out a car window. “Drivers have long tried to manage any number of distractions ranging from eating a snack and reading a map to dealing with unruly children in the back seat and putting on makeup.” (“Distracted Driving.”). By the means of this, it is easily comprehended that people of today 's society do not see what is truly going on outside of the car as a result of people being too focused and distracted by what they are about to do next. “The subway fled past him, cream tile, jet-black, cream tile, jet-black, numerals and darkness, more darkness and the total adding itself.” (78). The speed of the subway in the society Bradbury had come up with moves at the same speed velocity as it does in today’s society. It is a way for people to move from point A to point B fast paced and without any work or effort put into getting places. Getting onto a subway to arrive where a person needs to be takes nearly no thought and is able to land people where they need to be faster. The speed society is currently moving is very much to the society Bradbury describes. The fast-paced lifestyle people are living is causing an issue, and not allowing people to see the overall picture of how beautiful life can be if
