Subaru STI V.S. Mitsubishi EVO Are you looking for a great all wheel drive turbo performance rally car? If so then the Subaru STI or the Mitsubishi EVO is the car for you. They both come with different features and upgrades. Both manufactures are trying to approach the same goal of having the #1 racing and rallycross car on the market. I will be comparing and contrasting the Subaru STI and the Mitsubishi EVO with only a few categories, from power to weight, interior and exterior and in-cab space. The EVO produces 290 AWHP(all wheel horsepower) @6500rpms, while the STI produces 305 AWHP @6000 rpms. The little increase in power is coming from the Subaru's infamous EJ series motor they have been putting in there cars since the early 90’s,
Muscle Car," two distinctive cars come to mind, the Camaro and the Mustang. Throughout the era of the early 1950's and 1960's, there was a revolutionary movement that took place and paved the ground work for today's "Muscle Cars" known as the "Ponycar Era." Ask any avid Camaro or Mustang fan about the ponycar era, and watch their pain. They will describe cars that would light the tires on fire, floor it, and hang onto the wheel excitement. Back in the 1960's a new idea was soon to hit the American market, the Ford Mustang. When the Mustang was introduced, General Motors soon to had to follow with their own type of sports car. The car they generated was know as the Chevrolet Camaro. The cars themselves were introduced within the matter of a few years of one another. From the day that General Motors and Ford realized that these cars were very similar in horsepower, torque, standards, and etc... they soon started to pit them against each other in an all out battle that has still last to present day. However, the Chevrolet Camaro has always had the slight advantage over the Ford's Mustang.
for the Impala was the Super Sport model, more widely known as the SS. This
...rformance of petrol engines may be better for a sport car, but in the end the efficiency
Throughout this paper the V6 and V8 engines will be compared. The V style engine is the most popular engine configuration. Although the V6 engine is made to perfection, the V8 is better because of the hidden features it has. After reading this paper about the comparison between both engines, you should have a decent understanding of why the V8 is better than the V6.
Mention the name Mitsubishi Lancer and thoughts of a fast, sinister-looking, sinfully fun car might spring to mind - just so long as the word "Evo" is in there somewhere. Unfortunately, the Lancer family has so far been a deeply divided one in which lesser models were left to languish with standardized styling, hand-me-down engineering, and few points of distinction. Factor in a lack of brand recognition and it's no wonder the Civic, Corolla, and Mazda 3 have blown compact car dust in Mitsubishi's face for six straight years.
Throughout the years, Corvettes and Camaros have ran a hard race as the ultimate sports cars. Customers have always been hungry for better handling, streamline body styles, and sheer “under your pedal” power. The question we are faced with here is which has lead this race.
It also gains a stylish rotary shifter and a pair of powerful engines. The 1st engine is a 3.6L, V6 engine that produces 260 lb-ft of torque and 290 hp. The second option is a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 that produces 390 lb-ft of torque and 360 hp. HEMI technology is the latest fuel saving technology that is selected in the Eco mode.
The idea of the hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) has been around for longer than a decade, as many people may not have originally thought. In fact, hybrid vehicles have been in development for the past century. The combination of an electric motor and a gasoline engine has been stirring in the minds of scientists and inventors alike for many years. Hybrid cars have surpassed many feats as it's progressed through the years, such as increased gas mileage and reducing the pollutants that regular internal combustion engines expel. While the hybrid car is in high demand at the present time, some people believe these cars are just a quick resolution before bigger and better ideas, such as fuel cell vehicles, begin taking over the automobile industry. Still, the development of the hybrid car has had many effects on today's society and may continue to in the future.
Even though the Integra is slower than the Mustang, the Integra engine has something the Mustang engine does not have, and that is a VTEC.
There are many different kinds of vehicles on the road, but the ones that stand out the most are muscle cars and sports cars. Their unique design and body styles will catch people’s attention wherever they go. The Ford Mustang, a high performing muscle car introduced in 1964, is the most notable muscle car on the streets. It is most known for its unique body design with a long hood and short, rear decks. Their high performing V8 engines make their exhausts have a really deep, loud growl. When you think of sports cars, the first that comes to mind is the Chevrolet Corvette. Its sleek body style paired with its ability to stick to the ground around corners, makes it a very notable sports car in America. The two most iconic versions of these
When Americans go to buy a new or used car, they look for great fuel economy, strong engine performance, safety features, and whatever else interests them. One thing is for certain, every consumer searches for the best they can afford. Over the decades automobiles in general have become more efficient in every aspect because of technological advances in society. However, there are still some car brands that stand out over others. It is well known that a prestigious Mercedes-Benz is more reliable than a Jeep; the same can be said about foreign and domestic cars. Foreign cars are greater than domestic cars because of their longevity, their economic advantages for the consumer, and their more impressive performance on the race track.
...h more powerful than the V6 Nissan but as test show the GTR is faster. Due to the GTR's electronic suspension it can tackle corners better than the ZR1. Because of forced induction both the GTR and the ZR1 put out impressive horsepower numbers but, the twin turbos of the GTR is a better setup. Nurburgring is the most difficult track on earth and the Nissan pulls the fastest time of any production car. Practicality is key of buying a car and having two seats is impractical that's why the 4 seats of the GTR is better. Daily driving in a sports car is usually rough due to its suspension but with the Attesa suspension on the GTR the driver can choose a normal driveling suspension. Price of the GTR is 12,000 less than the Corvette there's lots you can do with that extra money. So comparing the GTR and the ZR1 they have close specs but the Nissan GTR is the clear winner.
initial availability. The price for the X5 is $49, 400, $44,620 for the dealer invoice, and
The enthusiast driver has to know their machine and their own personal limits when considering these two units. Although they are very similar, turbos and blowers are also very different.
Hybrid cars use both gas and electric. The gasoline engine is the primary source of power, while the electric motor is used at low speeds. Emissions levels are reduced because the gasoline engine shuts off at low speeds. An additional benefit of the parallel configuration is that no outside source of electric power is required because the engine itself generates the required electricity. A Hybrid Electric Vehicle known as HEV have several advantages over traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles: Regenerative braking capability, which helps minimize the energy lost when driving. Engine is sized to average load, not peak load, which reduces the weight of the engine. Fuel efficiency is greatly increased, while emissions are greatly decreased. HEVs can be operated using alternative fuels; therefore they need not be depended on fossil fuels (http://www.ott.doe.gov/hev/what.html#hev). Another great thing about these machines is the mpg; on the average, a hybrid car gets anywhere from 55-70mpg on the hwy. This is what makes the car all worth having. Now all this sounds good, but there are some issues that must be addressed.
