You wouldn 't have that problem if you bought a DVD and enjoyed it in your own home. From the price differences, to the comfort and control, the food...etc. Let 's discuss the differences between going to the theater and buying a DVD. If you are going to the movie theater you are already expecting to pay from seven dollars and up, and for 3D experience it could be fifteen to twenty dollars depend on what theater you are at. Everyone knows that theater food and snacks are way too overpriced. Getting a hot dog, popcorn, and drink combo can easily cost upwards of ten dollars. Also, the snacks, the last time I went to a movie theater I had to pay five dollars for a box of skittles. Can you believe that? A box of skittles that cost five dollars that you can grab at your local Walmart for a dollar or 2. For theater food and snacks to be that expensive, I think they should have more options and not just basic hot dog or nachos. The benefit of buying a DVD is when you watch it at home, you have the freedom of eating whatever you want. Either you eat whatever you want in your house, pick up some fast food, or order a pizza for convenience. Just being able to have the control of the movie in your hand, and watch the movie over and over again. The price of buying a DVD is cheaper than going going to spend your money at the theaters. You can easily beat the food that you can consume in your house compared to the limited selection at the theater. The disadvantages is the experience watching the movie in home instead of the theater, the wait for the movie to be release on DVD, and when you scratch the DVD.
Overall, in my opinion, I think the advantages and disadvantages of buying a DVD out weights going to the theater. The price of buying a DVD vs going to the theater long term, the cost is going to be cheaper if you buy a DVD. Of Course the food at home is way better then at the theater.
