The American Revolution and the American Civil War questioned the integrity and outlook of the men and women that encompassed the North American continent. There was a significance in difference between even the most basic aspects of both wars which include the style of battle that was conducted, variation in armory and defense tactics, and the number of casualties. One similarity is probably the cause of both wars which involved the preservation of the current system of government and remain unified. While the colonies of the United States waged war on the unacceptable system of government by the British, the Confederation was battling the unacceptable system of government by the Union entirely. The American Revolutionary war concluded with the separation of the thirteen colonies from Britain and left thousands of casualties of Americans and British. Though there was lives lost in the American civil war, it was in the tens of thousands of deaths that enabled the United States to pass the 13th Amendment which abolished slavery. The impact on the society following the Civil War was more intense and brought more significant change to negro lives and white lives than the Revolutionary war. It was a battle between a larger population and drive to create social justice that proved the Civil War to be the actual rebirth of the United States. Separation influenced the divide of the country in both wars; however, the unity of the country fortified the stability of the nation to resume the natural flow of events which developed the country to progressively accept social standards and liberties of all people.
