Recommended: importance of education to a society

Education should be important where you go no matter what, but in some countries education is everything. Several countries want to be the best in the education system, but they do not know the toll it can take on the youth. Happiness of the children should be number one, but it is the parents who want to be happy about their child’s education. Although sometimes the youth like to experiment with different career paths. It may be frowned upon to do such a thing, they should do what makes them happy.
People like to compare different countries for different reasons. When comparing schools systems they mainly compare the United States and South Korea and their education systems. In Korea they can not drop out unless the situation is unavoidable
When her mother saw this she moved them to Vancouver to finish their education so Koo could do well without the pressure. Most students parents are the main source for the pressure. When Koo got older and went back to Seoul, South Korea to become a teacher. She saw the difference between the two countries and their education system. Koo asked her class if they were happy in their current environment, a girl raised her hand and said that she would be happier if her mother was gone because all she does is nag about her academic performance. South Korea may be a model for the education but it is really about the youth who are in school and suffering to be overachievers, costing them their health and happiness. Rufina Park takes a survey from Health Promotion Foundation, saying that over sixty five percent of students expressed that they were stressed in some way. Park also gets data from the South Korean government stating that for the sixth time in a row, suicide was the leading cause for young people between the ages of nine and twenty-four. In Ju-Min Park’s article on the children of South Korea, say that the National Statistics Korea state that more than half of the children between 15 and 19 who are suicidal give academic performance and college entrance exams as a reason for it. While society says that it values education, it is apparent that actions are not being seriously taken by the educated population to effectively keep public education as a focus in policy holder’s hands.
