Insanity VS. P90X
Exercise is a very important aspect in my life. In the past I have tried many different workout methods. Becoming a runner, following a buff man or woman on a exercise DVD, restraining my eating, biking, and working out twice a day. These methods would work for about a week, but then my body would plateau (when the body gets use to the exercises and does not progress) and I would not have any luck losing weight, I would actually gain. This frustrated me and I would become very sad, sit in my room, and watch America’s Next Top Model, while eating carrots, wishing I had their bodies. It was not a fun time, but then my life changed when my mom ordered P90X when I was thirteen years old. P90X and Insanity are the two workout programs that I have completed. The two are very similar yet very different, yet both of them have helped me in learning about exercise and how to better myself.
In the early spring of 2011, thirteen years old, was when P90X arrived at our house.

Personally, I preferred P90X. Mainly because I love strength training and hate cardio. Both exercise programs were extremely hard but I think Insanity was ten times harder. Why? Insanity’s program and DVDs were shorter than P90X’s. Even though Insanity may have been shorter, I hate cardio, with a passion. And when you workout you have to find exercises you enjoy, or at least semi-like. If you are doing something you hate for forty minutes to an hour and fifteen minutes everyday you are not going to want to work out anymore, it will actually probably hurt your future endeavors of working out.
