Compare And Contrast Grimney And Disney Fairy Tales

Everyone at some point in their lifetime has seen or heard of the Disney fairy tales such as the well-known Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, and so on and so forth. However, what you might misconstrue is where these stories originated from. A majority of Disney’s stories are an adaptation of the Grimm’s Fairy Tales which aren’t nearly as exhilarating as Disney dipicts them as. However, how do the two stories compare and contrast to one another? The major similarities and differences between these two kinds of fairy tales can be found in the titles, plots, characters, conclusions of the stories, and how they state the happily ever after.
Although Disney stories are established from Grimm fairy tales they don’t use the same titles. For a majority of stories Disney found a completely different name, but there is at least one story where Disney found a similar sounding name. For instance, in Disney’s story of Sleeping Beauty Grimm had incipiently called it Little Briar Rose, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast was originally called The Singing, Springing Lark, and Disney’s Cinderella was originally called Aschenputtel. However, an example of Disney finding a similar name is noticeable in Red Riding Hood where Grimm had formerly named it Little Red Cap. In Grimm’s version of Beauty and the Beast the girl later known as Belle is not an only child like in Disney’s version but she is the youngest daughter of three. As well as in Disney’s version they include all of the helpers in the castle as various household items, in Grimm’s version none of the servants are mentioned or even exist. In Disney’s version of Cinderella you never meet the mother, you just know that she passed away.
