Chevy and ford have always been rivals ever since the beginning and the main question for everybody nowadays is which company actually makes the nicer, stronger, and overall better car. Chevy and ford fans have always been split. You have die hard fans on both sides who will argue that their brand is better. Everybody has a preference and both sides have their positives and both have some negatives.
Ever since the 1950’s Chevy and ford have been battling it out to this day and it is still a strong competition. This has forced both companies to produce better cars to compete with their rival. Their very first car ever produced was a racecar. Louis Chevrolet was the founder chevrolet. Chevys parent company is GM. That stands stands for General Motors.a General Motors not only owns Chevrolet, but they also own GMC, Cadillac, and Buick. GMC vehicles are just nicer versions of chevy models. For example you have the Chevy Tahoe, or you can have a nicer version called the GMC Yukon.
Ford made their first care in 1908 with the model T. Ford is the parent company and also owns Lincoln and Mazda. Henry Ford founded the company and is said to be the father of the automotive industry. Ford has introduced many models and also ended many models. Some of these older models that are no longer produced are worth lots of money and are considered a collectors item.
Both Ford and Chevy have many models that compete with each other. For example Chevy has the Camaro, Ford has the Mustang. Camaros were first introduced in 1967, on the other hand Mustangs were first introduced in 1964. Chevrolet also makes Silverado. That is probably their most popular truck. Ford has the F-150, Which is their most popular truck. The Silverado first came out in 1975. In conclusion, from the early 1950's and 1960's there has been two cars that have taken the American people by storm, the Chevrolet Camaro and the Ford Mustang. Both rivals have tried from day one to out do and out perform each other to bet the first to develop an affordable sports car that handles and performs like a $90,000 dollar muscle car. Chevy sold more trucks than cars in this decade for the first time in the US. Also introducing the Tahoe, Chevy had more SUV success. After he left, it changed names to the Cadillac Motor Car Company. Later that year, Ford founded the Ford Motor Company. A month after the company was formed, the Ford Model A was built at the Ford Motor Plant in Detroit. Only a couple of these cars were able to be made every day, so sales were slow. There were only about 2 to 3 workers to assemble these cars. But Ford was motivated to create an efficient and consumer friendly automobile. These innovations resulted in the Ford Model T. The Model T was a great liftoff for Ford and his company, and as a result, he practiced techniques of mass production the would change American Industry, including using large production plants. The mass production technique made it easier for people to assemble cars and the rate of producing these cars were much quicker. It was also a cheaper way to produce automobiles, and in 1914, Ford was able to raise the daily wage to 5 dollars. Production skyrocketed for the Model T and by 1918, half of America had purchased these inexpensive and readily available cars. In 1919, Ford made his son Edsel as the president of the company, but Ford still kept control of the company’s day to day operations. In 1901 his car beat what was then the world's fastest automobile in a race before a crowd of eight thousand people in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. The publicity he received for this victory allowed Ford to finance a practical laboratory for refining his auto ideas. In 1903 Ford launched his own car company, The Ford Motor Car Company, and by January 1904 he had sold 658 vehicles.
