We all wish that we could have a free education and not have to worry about getting loans and paying money back on time. The idea of having free community college sounds great because as adults we would be able to avoid spending more money for our education and we can also help ourselves and safe money as we go on and earning our bachelors or masters degree. People would probably take advantage and not use this opportunity towards somethings beneficial. For example, I personally think that once it’s free people would go but they wouldn’t take it serious at all meaning they might go the first semester and drop out the second semester because they got too lazy to keep going. I think that it wouldn’t help because every class would be packed and the waiting list will only get bigger. Also in this article Matthew Chingos mentions lowering the price would “ nudge students to attend lower-quality institutions”. Which then it would show lack of motivation for students to keep pushing themselves to be able to attend the university they desire. Not only would it cause this issue but also it would become a competition for low-income students since everyone will want to attend a free community colleges. Also There wouldn’t be much funding towards the students anymore since they are getting a free education which can interfere when it comes to sports or events that the campuses might provide for the students. I think students would have a huge disadvantage towards the benefits that the school would normally provide such as student health care or
