I am very pleased today to introduce the beautiful young lady of our class, Kebranagast Maxwell. She was born in New Rochelle, NY but originally she is an Ethiopian. She has been raised in The Bronx. As she told me, I learned that Ethiopian culture is very different. They like to eat vegan as they believe it is a healthier lifestyle. Also, they cover themselves and usually wear skirts. They wear turban to cover their hair. However, in spite of our different cultures, we often tend not to be able to maintain it due to several factors related to our daily life. This is what has happened to Kebranagast. She stopped eating vegan since it got very hard for her to maintain it at school, college and whenever she travels. So, at first she wanted to be a Nutritionist but LIU Post only offers that major, so as far she did not decide any major yet but she is thinking about becoming a Nurse Practitioner. However, she is not really interested about it but she is planning to do it since she needs a job and money to build her own clinic. In her clinic she wants to provide consultations and care to females from young girls to pregnant women or any other issues. She planned to have psychologists in her clinic. Not only that, she even decided to have rooms for several activities like yoga, dance, etc. Besides her major in Health Sciences, she is also pursuing minor in Bachelors in Fine Arts (BFA) to be a certified dancer. As I have mentioned earlier, she wants to open her own clinic. She is planning to be a Nurse Practitioner because she wants a job that can financially stable her so that her dream of opening her clinic becomes possible. Opening a clinic definitely requires a lot of money, therefore she is creating a strong foundation for herself so that nothing interrupts her way. She did not give up on arts or dancing but she is not much involved with it since she thinks it wont really make her financially strong, therefore she is more focused into becoming a Nurse Practitioner which will make her financially
