Is a College Degree Worth It? In 2015 the employment rate for young adults with a bachelor degree was 89% for as the young adults who only graduate high school and do not pursue a college degree was 67%. A college degree is not useless, especially if it is going to help you achieve bigger things in life. People often ask if it is really necessary to have a college degree, but people need to look into it not just only as a degree. Earning a degree can help with better employment opportunities, meeting variety of people, and with our personal life. Job opportunities will be coming in and out of our door with a college degree. Many people can argue that as an individual we do not need a degree to have a well-paid job, all we need is luck. That has some truth to it, it is all luck, but why not be prepared with something you know is going to help your resume stand out from the others.
