My serious academic aspirations date back as far as I can remember. Growing up my dad really pushed sciences on me, and I took to it like a dog to his loving owner. I really truly fell in love with the astronomical sciences. I dreamed of space and wanted to know everything I could and see everything I could. As I grew up these dreams didn’t exactly go away, but became more focused. Currently I'm a Biology major. My love of space didn’t seem to be something I could actively pursue the way I wanted to, but there was one thing I knew I always wanted to do, and that was to help people. I was taking care of kids aged seven to eight. It was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever done. During that summer I ran a program to teach kids magic and balloon making. I also was part of a team that was responsible for bringing song and music to the kids. I truly felt like I was able to give the kids in my care a truly unique and exciting experience that I was once given as a kid. But the best feeling was when I received a letter from a parent after the summer with pictures of their son performing the magic skills I had taught them to there school, thanking me for all that I had done. That was truly one of the greatest experiences I had ever felt, knowing that I had changed a child’s life in way that other people were able to see. Although I don’t focus on my passions for space as much as I used to, I still keep current on news like the recently discovered gravitational waves that finally confirm Einstein’s theory’s. On top of that I have new hobbies such as guitar and ukulele which I taught myself, and I still play video games but I keep it to a minimum and focus on my school work.
