Children can go bad for many reasons either it’s their childhood and unmet needs or even psychological reasons. The boys in the book experience theses psychological reasons because of the trauma of the plane crash, being left alone on the island and having to take care of eachother at such a young age. In my research I found some psychological theories that reflected on the boys from the book Lords of the flies. Cognitive dissonance is when an individual feels uncomfortable because they are a good person but they have chose to do a bad things.
