Although there are many sports for boys and girls boys should not be separated from girl in sports for other reason. Boys and girls could be good with. Softball and basketball and more with no contact involved with boys they could be a good team and a winning team. . First in foremost girls in coed sports should not play football with boys because girls are weaker than boys and they have body parts that could hurt and damage there bodys in many different ways. Most girls in the population play coed sports to be active and stay healthy.
In addition coed sports is a good way to be active and show your ability and teamwork. Flag football is also a good active sport without making hard contact with each other.Coed softball for man is a good
Facts show thats football is one of the top ten sports females play and about 151,000 of them play football every week.
Football is possibly too dangerous of a game for young boys and girls to be playing. I am not talking about all forms of football, but more specifically tackle football. Yes, football may possibly be one of America’s loved sport because of the brutality that it consists of; although I believe that there should be an age where kids should start playing such a horrific game. At the age of ten young boys, and girls, should be worrying about who they are going to be playing with outside at recess. Kids should not have to be worried about their friends having to miss school because of a concussion, or worse him or herself.
To an American, football is a game where you run with an oval pointed edge ball and try to get across your opponent’s touch line. To another person somewhere in Europe, Africa or South America, football is a game played basically with the foot, kicking a spherical leather ball with an aim of putting it into a goal post. Both games do have lots of differences, despite their names meaning the same thing in different regions of the world. Looking at the game of football, one will wonder if there is a female face behind those helmet; certainly not. American football is a game played only by males. Due to the major contacts made, females may not be seen fit to play. This is not the case with soccer. Soccer is played by both male and females, but not in the same competition. In soccer, males do have their leagues separately from the females. Sometimes for fun, both sex do play along side.
Today more than any other time period, equality has become a hot topic for discussion. One of the major topic is, should women be allowed to compete with men in sports on the same or opposing teams. Due to a lot of differences in physical characteristics, sporting interest, and economic considerations; it’s not a good idea to bring teams consisting of both genders together. To begin with, we have to question whether there’s even a want from the general public for girls being allowed to play on boys’ sports teams. Very few athletes in sports are barely even bothered about the fact women can’t play on male sport teams. If there’s no true desire to combine the teams, it only makes sense to not try a force unneeded change.
...lp the society. In the short run there may be a slow start to the idea of the intermingling of sexes playing sports, but sport is such a moneymaking machine, sometimes change is what is needed in order to create ideas of marketing and in the long run it will be successful. The costs and benefits of this crossing over may vary from one society to another, but the biggest cost would be an unsuccessful emergence, which would just bring us back to the starting point. The biggest cultural and social benefit may be for that individual who succeeded in this non-traditional sport and will be used as a marketing tool. It may also create opportunities for the organization itself or society, like jobs in coaching, marketing or any other business in the area of change. It is also another way for an individual to have the chance to accomplish one's desire for the American Dream.
Girls on the other hand shun such activities. There has been a link between media coverage and the indulgence of girls in sporting activities in schools. This is primarily because television and other media show sports as a preserve of men.... ... middle of paper ... ...
Giving women an equal opportunity to play against men will change the norm of women in sports and this can be seen as better because both genders will truly be viewed as equals. Women will also have more opportunities to play various sports that are exclusive to men, such as football and baseball. Brake also included numerous reasons why sports should be gender segregated.
For most of human history, athletic competition has been regarded as an exclusively masculine affair. Women weren't aloud to watch most sporting events let alone participate in them. Not till late 19th century did women really begin participating in sporting events. Although women were permitted to participate in many sports, relatively few showed interest, for a variety of social and psychological reasons that are still poorly understood. Title IX declares: "No person in the U.S. shall, on the basis of sex be excluded from participation in, or denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any educational program or activity receiving federal aid." Therefore sex should not deem females athletic ability as inferior in comparison to men. Women are physically, mentally, and emotionally capable of playing any sport just as men are.
Football, one of the most popular sports in the U.S., is also the most dangerous; it holds an astounding half a million injuries nationally due to the sheer violence and brute strength used against another player in the sport, and, although it is believed that these injuries can be prevented, there is nothing stopping another player from recklessly hurting another except their will-power, this is why football should be banned from high schools.
In the world of sports it started off that girls could never play sports and then in 1972 a public law called Title IX came to existence which allowed girls to play sports but not with boys. Today the question is asked should girls play on boys’ sports teams? One would think that girls should not play with boys on a sports team because boys are just naturally taller and stronger than women and they would dominate the girls in a fully contact sport. Another may think that if a girl is truly capable to play on an all boys’ sports team, then she should not be denied the opportunity to try out for an all boys’ team. Some other people may believe that sports at younger ages should remain co-ed because boys and girls body types are still similar, but once boys and girls are in high school sports should separate based on gender. Females and Males are equal but not in physical stature, having a girl on an all boys team will negatively change the dynamics/flow of a game, having the best girl player on an all boy’s team will hurt the girls’ sports teams. So sports should strictly stay separated between males and females.
Another issue of women in sports was the health risk to the women who compete. The recommendations of the scientists state that involvement in sports and other such physical activity reduces the likelihood of developing a number of life-threatening health conditions. Involvement in cooperative and competitive activities can improve a woman’s social outlook, sense of competence and emotional control.
Yes there's one sport women shouldn't play. Women shouldn't play football. Women shouldn't play football because they could get a serious injury easily. They also shouldn't play football because they could get a concussion easily because they might not know how to tackle the safe way. Another reason why they shouldn't play football cause they could get hurt more easily cause they don't have enough weight to take the hit. This essay will explain several reasons why women shouldn't play football.
Some may argue that girls can play a sport better than boys, people think that girls should play with the boys because they should be treated equally. Opponents argue that girls should not play with boys because women are not as athletic or physically strong as a man. People have not thought about a woman 's physical being
Sport at school should NOT be compulsory. Sports training and PE take up time that could be better spent learning other subjects, and PE and Sport are not as important as other subjects like maths, science etc. It is also my belief that it students should have the right to choose whether or not we do sport/PE, because we are allowed to choose the subjects that are more important, so why are we not allowed to choose whether or not we do sport?Every year in PE, we do the same sports and the same practice drills, so after year 7, there is no point continuing to do PE, because the you are just doing the same things that you have done in previous years. 2 periods per cycle are spent on PE, 2 periods which could be spent on subjects like foreign languages, which are only allocated 4 periods per cycle or English or Science, which get 5 periods per cycle.
Coed teams are really popular at young ages. Remember at an age when there was a football league for the kids. It had both girls and boys playing together without a problem. Some of the girls were even better than the boys. Those girls were the ones that wanted to go farther with their football career and play throughout their school year, but they get to high school and they are told that they can’t play because she is a girl.
