Research Paper: Code of Ethics and Principles of Professional Conduct.

Teachers are held to a higher standard and rightfully so. Teachers can make a difference in student’s lives and influence them greatly, good or bad. When teachers follow the Code of Ethics and abide by the “rules”, many students will admire them and want to do the same. Ethical codes are set in place to protect the students and teachers. It’s always in the teacher’s best interest to abide by the ethical codes and principles, or they will be reprimanded. There are many cases of teachers violating the code of ethics and principles of professional conduct. The three that stuck out to me most were about a teacher losing her license, sexual assault, and an email about undocumented immigrants.
