On 2-1-17 at approximately 1353, hours, Cortez Dispatch requested Deputy Haynes respond to the address of 812 Central Ave, space 6, In the Town of Dolores, County of Montezuma, and State of Colorado, for a possible suicide attempt.

I responded to the address above and contacted Kathleen Berner (DOB 34-51) who was outside the apartment complex with the suspected male who attempted suicide. The male later identified as David Coble (DOB 10-9-58) was sitting upright in a lawn chair near apartment number 1. I asked Coble, David what happened and Coble, David said Coble, David took a handful of Metoprolol. Coble, David said he normally takes the medication for blood pressure. Bergeman, Timothy said Coble,David acts depressed and acts mad at God. Bergeman, Timothy said Coble, David hangs out by himself and never lets anyone into his apartment. Bergeman, Timothy said Coble David is afraid he is going to die and does not think there is a cure for his cancer and does not seem to care if he dies.

According to some of the neighbors of the apartment complex, Coble, David seems to not care whether he lives or dies. Coble, David seems to be severely depressed and does not care for his life. Due to Coble, David living in close proximity to his neighbors and not seeming to care for his life I requested Deputy Haynes remove all Coble, David’s firearms form Coble, David’s residence for his safety as well as the other occupants in apartment complex. Deputy Haynes will enter the firearms into evidence for safekeeping.

I responded to the Emergency room to speak with Coble, David again. I informed Coble, David I was removing his firearms from his residence for his safety as well as the other occupants of the apartment complex. Coble, David was upset because we took the guns. Coble, David said he could have shot himself however that would have been messy, which is why Coble, David took
