Technology continuously attempts to re-invent and re-define itself nowadays. It is developing at a very fast pace globally, and is taking over the way people live their lives every day. When you think back to what computers use to be when they were first invented, to what they are now, it really is remarkable. When I think back to my first computer, key words/phrases that jump out to me are: AOL, dial-up, big bulky computers, long loading times. Those days are long gone now with consistent new software and technology updates. Almost every household owns a computer or a device that can gain internet access. In addition, there are also many locations that offer free WI-FI access to connect. This era has become so technology driven. This is where new technology comes in and re-invents the wheel once again. Cloud computing has been developed to revolutionize the way of technology and IT systems. So, what is cloud computing? Wikipedia defines it as “the delivery of computing as a service rather than a product, whereby shared resources, software, and information are provided to computers and other devices as a utility (like the electricity grid) over a network (typically the Internet).”Cloud computing proves to be more cost-effective and easier to use for many businesses.
Chapter 18 in CIO Leadership for Cities and Countries: Emerging Trends and Practices by Alan Shark, (Cleverley, 2009) gives the introduction of cloud computing and what it has to offer as software as a service (SaaS) in government and IT operations. Cleverley goes on to explain the key points for cloud computing. He gives details on how it can “help to enable rapid innovation for applications, services and service delivery (181).” In addition, he showcases how it ca...

...ways striving to be positive for us. 311 was a great innovation for social media that many rallied around. Cloud computing could be a revolutionary SaaS for government agencies looking to save costs and become more efficient and serve the public quality service. Organizations should weigh the pros and cons first and evaluate if those risks are worth taking for the business. If cloud computing is the right fit and the right choice, then the pros might outweigh the cons, and could prove very successful.

As its core essences cloud computing is nothing but a specialized form of grid computing and distributing computing’s which various in terms of infrastructure , deployment, service and Geographic’s dispersion (Veeramachanenin, Sepetember 2015) the cloud enhance scalability, collaboration, availability , ability to adapt to fluctuation according to demand accelerate development work and provide optional for cost reduction and through efficient and optimized computing. (BH kawljeet, June 2015) cloud computing (CC) recently become as a new paradigm for the delivery and hosting of services our the internet. There are mainly three service delivery model Software as Service (SaaS) required software, operating system and network is provided or we can say in SaaS the customer can access the hosted software instead of installing it in local computer and the user can access these software through local computer internet browser (e.g web enabled E-mail ) the user only pay and the cloud service provider is responsible for management or control of mobile cloud infrastructure some of the company which provide such service are Google, Microsoft , Salesforce ,Facebook, etc…..Infrastructure as Service(IaaS)the cloud provider only provide some hardware resources such as network and virtualization is
The strengths of creating a cloud computing strategy for stuff4u.com can be a huge difference in profit margin down the road for the company. One of the strengths that cloud computing provides for companies is that it maximizes the effectiveness of shared resources within an organization. When using this approach stuff4u does not have to use all of its computing power and at the same time it will save money on its energy costs. Cloud computing allows multiple employees access to a single server to retrieve and update their data without purchasing licenses for different applications. This will also save money for stuff4you as a company, and will increase profit margin for the company as it cut s down on its expenses. A switch to SaaS software run system will also allow compatibility for a...
Research has shown that cloud computing is not only good for companies but also for the environment. By moving e-mail, patient records and applications into the cloud, it will not only save the company money but also move into the future. Healthcare Professional Office, Insurance companies and Laboratories would all be able to access patient records without the patient having to fill out multiples of the same forms over and over again.
Even though cloud computing is still an emerging technology there are many benefits to our organization by adopting this technology. For instance, the reduction of operational cost, the ability to access data from any network and device, and the ability to upgrade and downgrade with ease whenever needed. Looking at the statistical data from companies that have adopted this technology, I think Partners in Heath should adopt Cloud computing. It think it is the perfect technology to solve our financial problems, as well as adding several benefits mentioned earlier.
Cloud computing is computing in which large groups of remote servers are networked to allow the centralized data storage, and online access to computer services or resources. Clouds can be classified as public, private or hybrid
To understand how cloud computing can be of value to an organization, it is important to us that we understand the cloud and its components. There are three different types of cloud computing services referred to as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS). IaaS delivers cloud computing infrastructure servers, storage, network and operating systems as an on-demand service. SaaS is about software deploying over the Internet. PaaS allows a creation of web applications without the complexity of buying and maintaining the software and infrastructure. In this paper, I will suggest that Innovartus Technology Inc should use IaaS as a replacement for PaaS because IaaS is a rapidly developing field with resources such as better services, cost variability, utility pricing model and dynamic scaling.
Cloud computing is able to increase the speed of business. Cloud computing offers the speed to make computing resources on an instance basis, not just need to first survey time and skilled resources in design and implement infrastructure and applications to deploy and test it. Cloud computing can engance revenue, share bigger market, or other advantages.
...Implementation of cloud systems can be implemented in stages with costs that coincide with usage. The ROI outweighs the issues or problems that could occur. Cloud computing gives a competitive advantage of being able to keep up with changes in technology without having the cost involved. Amazons cloud computing allowed companies like Ericsson to remain competitive and thrive.
Software as a service or SaaS is a technology made available for use within the cloud computing service that help businesses network or communicate effectively and at reasonable costs. SaaS is growing in popularity with projected sales levels to double by 2015 from the $10 billion reported in 2010 (Wikipedia, 2014). So, what exactly is SaaS by definition, and how does it distribute on a multi-tenant architecture? There are advantages and disadvantages to this service, but it does offer a few application types for businesses such as an all-in-one business package, social network applications, email capabilities, and analytics. The future trends include hybrid SaaS applications, global outlook, and possible vertical integration of SaaS. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate software as a service, along with its functions, looking towards emerging trends involved with this technological service.
The fundamental idea behind a virtual machine is to remove the hardware of a single computer and make it a self-contained operating environment that behaves as it is a separate computer. Essentially, the virtual machine is software that executes an application and isolates it from the actual operating system and hardware. CPU scheduling and virtual-memory techniques are used so that an operating system can create the illusion that a process has its own processor with its own (virtual) memory. The virtual machine provides the ability to share the same hardware yet run several different operating systems concurrently, as shown in Figure 2-11.
Experts have claimed that the services provided by cloud computing help the companies who subscribe for its use to focus on things that would differentiate them from other in this way they don’t look for its infrastructure cost or the infrastructure of the business. Advocates likewise guarantee that this system permits undertakings to get their applications up and running
Cloud computing is the ability to use programmes and data on a remote server somewhere in the world that is connected to the internet to get work done. In cloud computing there are 3 types of cloud computing SaaS, PaaS & IaaS. Information is stored on servers, you host your IaaS (infrastructure as a service) service on a server or multiple servers. This is expensive to do for the average person so companies have been set up to do this for you like amazons Elastic Computing and you pay for how many servers you use over a month and you pay for storage. Programmes are run in virtual machines (virtual computers) on servers so users can use these services over the internet at ant time.
Peter Mell and Time Grance’s piece, "The NIST Definition of Cloud Computing,” explains that with the Cloud has come a more efficient way for us to store and share data; however, it has also lead us to a lot of security breaches. To put it in laypeople terms, the cloud is the connection of all of the functions of our applications, connected to each of our multiple devices. It can be very easy to get scammed or taken advantage of through cloud computing, because if someone gets a hold of one of our devices (say, an iPhone, for example) they can literally destroy us by tapping in to every single application we store data
In cloud computing, the word cloud is used as a metaphor for “the internet”. So the cloud computing means “a type of internet-based computing”, where different services such as servers, storage and applications are delivered to an organization’s computers and devices through the internet.
There are several reason for the business to adopt cloud computing in order to benefit themselves. The following part is going to describe the two type of business that should adopt to cloud computing.
