His/her physical appearance would be the same as the person he/she was cloned from, but depending on the society it would be brought up in it’s personality would be totally different. Many people in this decade believe that human cloning should be illegal for many different reasons, but there are many people who think it should be legal. Human cloning is a very sensitive subject with its advantages and disadvantages. “Strictly speaking embryo cloning is a technique used by researchers and animal breeders to split a single embryo into two or more embryos that will have the exact same genetic information (Wall 1117).” “The procedures used in cloning human embryos are very similar to the cloning of animal embryos, except for the zona pellucida. The zona pellucida is a protective protein and polysaccharide membrane that covers the internal contents of the embryo, and provides the necessary nutrients for the first several cell divisions that occur within the embryo.

This technology, according to scientists, could foster the ability to cure any disease, illness, or injury, but at what cost? Opponents of stem cell research believe that the practice of embryonic study and culture is immoral, while proponents suggest that this technology is necessary for the advancement of medical research. In 2001, then President George W. Bush quickly sided with those believing the research to be immoral. During his primetime address, he advocated only to allow research on cell lines already in existence. Much of this side of the argument is based on the idea that human eggs are fertilized with sperm to create an embryo, and then destroyed to harvest the stem cells within the blastocyst.
The Ethics of Cloning On February 27, 1997, it was reported that scientists produced the first clone of an adult sheep, attracting international attention and raising questions on the morality of cloning. Within days, the public had called for ethics inquires and new laws banning cloning. Issues are now raised over the potentially destructive side of this scientific frontier. Many people are morally opposed to the possible consequences of women being able to give birth to themselves, or scientists seeking to clone "genetically superior" humans. Others argue that the positive effects of cloning will outweigh the negative.
We face a problem today even greater than the one in this book and it involves the duplication of human beings in a society that has always been known for its diversity. Clearly, this says a lot about scientists because some still further the act of cloning and disrespect the law of human cloning, and dishonor society's value as a whole; I mean we will love to get the answer for illnesses but not through cloning. If we are to compare a normal human heart from a clone, the CNS (central nervous system) or PNS (peripheral nervous system) to a “non-human” nothing about the clone will be real all that the clone is its physical appearance. Multiples researchers said that a clone will help find for who medicines for cancers and many other questions, wait for who clones or human beings? There might be some good outcome from it in
They honestly didn't know if they could bring another child into a world of hurt and certain death. Breakthroughs in genetic technology has brought hope for healthy children to the distraught couple. Through embryo diagnosis, it is very possible for Karen and Roger to have a baby that is free of the horrible disease. What they struggle with now is whether they believe it is ethically correct. In the fast-paced, ever growing world of genetics, we as a responsible society must take time to scrutinize the new technologies from both ethical and scientific standpoints.
In Frankenstein, Victor's negative actions cause his creation to turn against him. Although there are no current rebellions of human creations, there is still a negative connotation attached to cloning. The original controversy surrounding the issue involved the ethics of using stem cells for the research and the experiments. Acquiring these stem cells involved scientists to pull the cells from human embryos, which would inevitably result in the destruction of those embryos. James Thomson, a biologist at the University of Wisconsin said “if human embryonic... ... middle of paper ... ...ook, Gregg.
