The mysteries of the human mind have been intriguing people for decades. Even after the amount of research that has been done, people are still trying to figure out as much about the human mind as possible. While they won’t be able to discover everything there is to know about the brain, they continue to go into as much depth as they deem necessary. Clinical psychologists are some of the people that try to discover as much as they can to benefit the people as a whole, and clinical psychology is one of the many fields that help people understand and solve these mysteries.

During and after World War II, the American Psychology Association was busy trying to reorganize itself, so the America Association of Applied Psychology became the main organization for clinical psychology. Clinical psychologists were especially needed during and after World War II because they helped soldiers who were struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder, or PTSD, caused by the war. The salaries of clinical psychologists vary depending on many different factors. These factors include location, individual experience, educational history, and in which field they will practice. Many clinical psychologists are self-employed. This gives them complete control over their schedules and earnings which promotes flexibility. They also get the opportunity to work with a variety of people. Many have said that they love their jobs for multiple reasons including: helping people solve personal problems, reassuring feelings of self worth, and the freedom of being financially stable (Advantages and
