Hope is one of those people, she thinks that by being positive to a person you may be able to change not the whole world but maybe someone’s world. She thinks that you can do this when she says “I’m doing my best to make life nice for everyone, but it’s not like this is the only table I’ve got” (Bauer 63). She is basically saying that you should strive to be nice to everyone, even though sometimes you will encounter people who are just antithesis and terrible. You can make monumental change through your actions, whether they are positive or negative. Hope realizes that her voice is the only thing she has got, but she has the ability to move mountains with it if she would just let it break

Her wide reach and continual influence has the potential to lastingly correct the anti-feminist, misogynistic tone of the male-dominated genre and culture. Despite her hyper sexualized image and defamatory lyrics, she is arguably a positive, albeit controversial, feminist role model, which is evident in her motivation for success, lyrical discourse, and use of and meanings behind her alter egos.
In the opening scene, the director shows slow-motion clips of several couples dancing in the most intimate way, face to face. All the while, the song “Be My Baby” by The Ronettes is playing in the background. Right after the opening credits, the mood is quickly shifted to a more family-friendly scene of Baby driving to the resort with her family in their safe and cookie-cutter station wagon. Seemingly unrelated to the lyrics, the video attempts to incorporate the idea of the police mistreating the orcs derived from the movie Bright. In one of the final scenes, Sam Harris is shown smirking as he just graffitied “let us live” on a cop car. (See figure 7) The video unjustly portrays cops as the enemy, potentially insinuating that the police are a key reason to society’s degradation and therefore our home’s demise. Gravel To Tempo is a song by dream and synth pop artist, Hayley Kiyoko. The music video explains the meaning behind the song, with Kiyoko portraying herself and her own feelings about her struggle with her identity. I think the music video is important, because it reveals the internal struggle of LGBT youth coming to terms with who they are, especially LGBT women. By doing this, Kiyoko created a song that 's relevant to my own experiences, and speaks out to everyone, especially LGBT youth, to just be who you are and find freedom in that.

“Skyscraper” is a song released in 2011 by singer and songwriter Demi Lovato. Demi Lovato first came into the media’s eye in 1990s when she was on the beloved children show Barney and Friends. She then made her move from entertaining the toddler set to entertaining the tween set of audience when she was casted on As the Bell Rings, a series of comedic shorts that run between Disney programs. In 2008, Demi made a huge career decision when she signed on to be one of the leading roles in Disney’s original film, Camp Rock. This is where her signing talent was truly recognized. Throughout the rest of this year, Demi continued to do acting for Disney; including appearances on Wizards of Waverly Place and premiering her own show Sonny with a Chance. It was on September 23, 2008, that she released her debut album Don’t Fotget. This album reached top ten on iTunes within the first week of being released. After this success, Demi decided that she wanted to dedicate all of her time to singing, and put her acting career temporarily on hold. As 2010 comes around, and Demi’s media attention grows rapidly, she being to become overwhelmed from the constant stress. After acting out on several occasions, Demi checks herself into a rehabilitation center. It is during her time there that she draws on inspiration for her next album Unbroken. This is the album that features “Skyscraper”, a song that speaks to people of all ages about the importance of staying positive and strong no matter the circumstances.
