I hope they feel they can come to me when they need help with not just a school problem, but a problem in their personal life or when they just need some to listen. I hope I can model the same teacher characteristics to my students as I felt she showed me. She was caring, warm, and very interested in her students’ total well-being. Mrs. Schuette was the teacher who made me want to become a teacher. She showed me how much of a difference I could make in my students’ lives.
I want to give myself the opportunity to become a teacher, and help students to grow academically and emotionally to become successful in society. That is why it is so important for me to become a teacher at the elementary school level. I think that if smaller children learn in a very positive and enthusiastic way, they will learn more easily and will be more open to different learning tasks in the classroom. I think that a teacher can also help all students to obtain very high self-esteem, growth and integrity. A teacher can become, in certain ways, like a parent and most importantly, a friend.
The students in the classroom have the role to learn and to actively participate on a daily bases. However, regardless of their roles, the relationship between the two should be both positive and respectful. Another way that I will ensure that parents are involved in their child’s education is to provide open-communication between them and myself. By communicating with parents, I will be able to help them better understand what their child is doing in class as well as allow them to discuss any concerns that they may have (Liston, 2016b).

I feel if you don’t believe in yourself, no one else can make a difference. One’s success is ultimately based on their own self-drive. The student’s responsibilities include completing their homework and classwork, listening to the teacher, engaging in classroom activities and staying focused in class. Throughout the school year, I would like to see my students, grow in all aspects to become an improved student.
Good teachers set high expectations and motivate the students to meet those expectations. As students strive for excellence, teachers assist students in meeting their highest potential through daily lessons. Teachers also serve as role models. Teachers make a contribution to society by preparing students for their real world endeavors. They teach students through example to be kind, respectful, humble, patient and determined.” In addition, during my observation even if this was my first day, I observed the different levels of intelligence of the students based on how they answer the question and how they react in the discussion.
I would like for my instruction and curriculum to be flexible with the different learning styles of my students, so they are all comfortable with the instruction and curriculum. I want my classroom to be a place where my students can develop and gain knowledge, so they will be better prepared for their future jobs or careers. I would also like for my classroom to be an environment in which my students can learn without interruptions and disruptive behavior. One of my expectations will be that if the teacher is still talking after the bell rings, students must show respect to the teacher by remaining in their seats and listening to what she has to say .
Instructional strategies are essential to be fulfilled in the classroom as it inspires students. Learning can be improved when instructional strategies are tangled to the interest of students. Instructional strategies focuses on educating academic and social skills. Every teacher has a certain goal to achieve with her students in the classroom. To have a successful classroom, a teacher should include several strategies.
Teachers should try and add fun, interactive and life like activities. Without certain types of activities students find the information they are learning useless and they need to be able to relate things they learn in class with the outside world. All teachers should strive to create an intangible connection with each student. Each student should see their teacher or professor as a friend, not an enemy, that they can trust and relate to. Last but not least it is very important for teachers to make their students feel like with instructional and emotional support from their teacher that they will not fail. In the first article “The Journal of Educational Psychology” states that teacher-student interactions are very important and can change a students path in achievement. They suggest that when teacher-student interactions take place in a positive matter whether one on one, small groups, or the whole class, that these teacher-student interactions deliver the students with the correct support needed for their learning potential. Also, these positive interactions then can help set the student up for other positive paths in the classroom. Examples of these interactions are categorized into three realms of support: emotional, organizational, and instructional.
Guiding my students to the correct path, can make students change their minds about their education. Teachers should make their students feel free to express themselves and share their opinions.
