Classroom Size and Cleanliness: Impact on Quality Education

In public schools there are many situations that the system is put under. Both the schools and the teachers face a lot of challenges in ensuring that students fulfill their educational potential. Many things in school and out of school hender the student from doing their best work in the classroom. Today the provision of quality education is hampered by both educational and non educational challenges, which have made it difficult for the provision of quality education. One of the many different problems in public schooling in the classroom size. “Although common sense would indicate that smaller class sizes are better for students, research doesn’t show that this is necessarily so” (Class Size: Issues to Consider). Some students do learn better
Being in a small class doesn 't always mean that your student achievement level will go down, but being in a larger classroom could encourage a child to be better than the person beside them. Being in a small classroom doesn 't always give a student the opportunity to do better. “Small classes do have a positive effect on student attitudes and tend to improve classroom management as well as teacher morale” (Class Size: Issues to Consider). It is easier to create a bond with a group of people and get to know them well when there aren 't a lot of them. Being in a small classroom does create a family, but does it give your child the best opportunity for success? “While small classes generally provide greater attention to students, there can be unintended consequences” (Class Size:Issues to Consider). “Many districts had to add portable classrooms or build new schools to accommodate the small classes – a cost they were not prepared for” (Class Size: Issues to Consider). In high school they give you a whole bunch of extra courses that you can take if it is something that you would like to have a career in or if you just want to take
Students need a clean environment that they can come to and learn. “The consequent adaptations that these kids’ immune systems make diminish their ability to concentrate, learn, and behave appropriately” (Health and Safety Issues). The school isn’t always the cause of a student 's sickness, but it can help contribute to it. “Health and achievement overlap: every cell in our body needs a healthy environment to function optimally” (Health and Safety Issues). If child is healthy they will focus on their success because they have more time to think of their future and how they are going to get themselves there.. “According to the International Sanitary Supply Association, elementary students contract eight to 10 cold or flu cases each year” (Why a Clean School Can Impact Student Success). “Schools can decrease this number by keeping their facility clean and preventing the spread of germs” (Why a Clean School Can Impact Student Success). The school needs to have control on the spread of germs throughout the school. “Healthy students are able to focus better at school and experience less absenteeism” (Why a Clean School Can Impact Student Success).
