Recommended: Edward Snowden and ethics

Civil disobedience is it the answer to big government control or the bigger problem to today society. This is what we all must ask ourselves in this situation to look ahead for the future. These are all questions we must look into ourselves and find the answer between the courage we have to get off the beaten path to the police that so called that protect us to even injustifiable traitors such as Edward snowden. These instantces are the ones that make a difference in todays society. All in all we are all Americans and have rights. The draft a long ago status we used to keep military numbers high in the need of war some young men were sent to places they didn't want to go such as vietnam. This broke massive protests against the war and burning of draft cards. This was the war that was looked down upon from most of the country because of money being spent. The one fighting were against it as well but were treated like dirt when they returned. Like edward snowden they were traitors to their government for leaking out and answering to a high cause of themselves. Edward snowden believed what he was and is still doing is right for the american people to be able to reveal these certain secrets to the world. Americans should not be turning against there government you have joined the military for a reason you don't get a say where you go as for those who work for it have a moral obligation to keep there mouth shut. They didn't believe in what they had been put in or what actions were being taken so they rebelled against United States Government. We have rights as American citizens to our country as well but some take it to far. This great country of ours is not perfect because the biggest hits we have taken we have never re... ... middle of paper ... ...al risk to us to have those traitors around. All Americans pass on a obligation to find these individuals such as all men are created equal does not apply to being equally punished by our government who knows how to extract information from these non- Americans. The crime fits the punishment from those created as equals are punished for crimes they do even the most heinous crimes such as terrorism on anyone. Americans need to come together on those who threaten us and not protect them. In the end of all these subjects of Social disobedience we control our government from any aspect. We elect the officials that run it and make the laws they make that we are made to follow. So we are here because we put them there so we can bring them down and keep them in check. This is civil disobedience and what has happened then what it stands for is a whole other meaning.

This open democratic republic is man’s highest achievement—not only for what it has already accomplished, but more importantly because it affords the greatest opportunity for orderly change and the realization of man’s self-renewing aspirations.” What Liebman fails to realize is that while the United States of America has made improvements, the United States still has a far way to go before it can be considered a fair country. Liebman also states that “The plain fact of human nature is that the organized disobedience of masses stirs up the primitive. This has been true of a soccer crowd and a lynch mob. Psychologically and psychiatrically it is very clear that no man—no matter how well-intentioned—can keep group passions in control.” While disagreeing with the first example from Liebman, it would be difficult to disregard the way that many protests seem to spiral out of control. Peaceful protest for the most part remain peaceful, however some may turn violent very quickly. Liebman also believes that there is no such thing as “righteous civil disobedience” as men and women are deliberately disregarding laws set in place to protect the country, and regards it as deplorable and destructive(Liebman). To combat Liebman, a new age of civil disobedience is rolling in, a more inclusive type. With various social media platforms, word of walkouts and peaceful, with an emphasis on peaceful, protests are spread more quickly. According to societal welfare, which is the sake of the emotional and physical well-being of the community, the laws must be abided and civil disobedience is morally unjust in our society.
