Cigarettes and Health
That first pull of the nicotine filled stick can be enough for anyone to get addicted. The rush you get and the way it can make your body relax could make anyone fall in love. It goes from a pack a week to 3 packs a day. You’re not thinking about the effect it has on your body, the effect on the side stream smoker, or the cost of this new found addiction. All you’re thinking about is how it makes your body and mind feel. All these factors, if looked into, should be more than enough reasons why there should be a ban on cigarettes.
Cigarettes are among the top reason Americans are dying today. It is filled with nicotine that is very addicted. Nicotine is a powerful neurotoxin which acts an insecticide to protect the tobacco plants from insects. Cigarettes contain 4,000 different chemicals and when lit, it can produce over 3,000 more different chemical coming to 7,000 chemicals a human sucks into their body. Carbon monoxide, ammonia, and nitrogen oxide are some of the chemical in or produced with a cigarette. These chemicals can lead to many different health problems. Coronary Heart disease, Aneurysm, Emphysema, Bronchitis, and Asthma are some of the side effects to smoking cigarettes. There are also many different cancers you can get to. Lip, colon, rectum, liver, kidney, stomach, and lung cancer being the biggest one. Some but not most people have to deal with high blood pressure and blood clotting. Smoking cigarettes can also damage women reproductive system, making it hard from them to get pregnant. The only way to not have to deal with these effects is to not smoke.

...ericans. In 2011 $8.4 billion dollars were spend in promotions and advertisement. Smokers even have to pay a higher amount in insurance than a non-smoke. The best way for a smoker to save money is to stop smoking.
Smokers do not think about the effect smoking has on their bodies, the effects on the side stream smoker, or the cost of buying cigarettes, all they are worried about is getting their fixed. Their health and wellbeing is not important into it is too late. While there are all these studies out there to prove while it is harmful smokers keeping the bad habit up anyways. If cigarettes were banned that would be one less of a worry Americans have to worry about. Not only for the health of themselves but also the health of others around them.
