History was not made by its self, but by the people. Humans have created a very great impact on the world physically, and though many other reasons. People have created the evolution of things: research, discoverers, philosophers, and many other people have changed how the world is, and how it is ran by. Every person has their own way of thinking, many of them don’t even think at all to create a new thing, a new reason of humanity. Now everything now has a definition to it, how its created, who discovered it, if an animal show how they are created, laws are not put in effort, even religion has its explanations. From an early age Cicero was in love with many studies as in ancient Greek philosophers, poets and historians. Many things went through his mind, how as a child he was able to comprehend every part of all of these studies. Learning Latin and knowing Greek, he was talented to many things with his knowledge; reading in Greek and translating it to Latin and began to work for a very bigger audience, causing his education to be tied on the Roman select, brining attention to all …show more content…

History allows us to find how we fit into our homes, communities, and nations. It also gives us a common ideal; to know from where we came and from there, know where we are going. As individuals, we can also use history to understand the heart, value, and belief that caused our nation to become strong. It brings a people together, keeping them strong.
What drives history? Before we answer this question, we must go deeper and answer a more important question: What is history? History is, simply, all of the events, ideas, people, and occurrences that have existed in the past. These things have been driven by one common factor: individuals. Although individuals driving history may seem like a rather simple answer, it is the only one that provides no flaws.
Cicero, was truly a man of the state. His writings also show us he was equally a man of
There are the big ideas of history, which we might call Great Causes. The list is long. There is the Will of God; the cyclical nature of history; the iterative Hegelian process by which Man moves progressively towards the ideal state of liberty and self-awareness; similar ideas in Eastern philosophy; the Marxist economic variant of Hegel's ideas; the everlasting law of the Stoics; Adam Smith's "invisible hand"; blind Darwinian evolution; Montesquieu's belief that history is the result of geography and climate.
History is indeed made up of significant events which shape our future and outstanding leaders who influence our destiny.
How did Cicero use the institutions of Roman law and politics now established as part of the republic’s way of business to vault himself from a bright young person from Arpinum to an up and coming member of the Roman elite?
"We are in bondage to the law in order that we may be set free"
However, there was this question, “Is the world flat?” Which bring up another question “What is holding the world up?” And one man quest to find out the answer. The meaning of human history is to realize the purposes of God to make a paradise on earth, to prepare a people for a life in community with a loving and holy God and for all humanity to know who He is.
Cicero has been traditionally considered the master of Latin prose, with Quintilian declaring that Cicero was "not the name of a man, but of eloquence itself." The English words Ciceronian (meaning "eloquent") and cicerone (meaning "local guide") derive from his name. He is credited with transforming Latin from a modest utilitarian language into a versatile literary medium capable of expressing abstract and complicated thoughts with clarity Julius Caesar praised Cicero's achievement by saying "it is more important to have greatly extended the frontiers of the Roman spirit (ingenium) than the frontiers of the Roman empire" According to John William Mackail, "Cicero's unique and imperishable glory is that he created the language of the civilized
Philosophy is the study of examining and thinking about questionable ethical problems and/or generally accepted certainties. Philosophy aims at knowledge that combines a variety of academic fields as well as convictions, prejudices and beliefs.
Though our history may bring back horrible memories of the ?grimmest dimensions of human nature? (Limerick 472), it is necessary to have a good historical background. History gives us the ability to improve future outputs, satisfy our unending need for knowledge, and understand how many policies and regulations have come to be. Without history mankind would be very primitive and ununified. Our complete molding of the world today is almost completely dependent on the fact that we study our history. Without history present day humans would be nothing more than cavemen.
History is the bridge that connects the past with the present. Without history, we have no future. The past gives value to our present. David C. McCullough stated, “History is a guide to navigation in perilous times. History is who we are and why we are the way we are”. I agree with McCullough, history gives us a purpose. History allows us to investigate and interpret the past in order to see how we developed and where we came from. We can get an idea of what has influenced our past and present, and also what will shape our future. We can see what previous generations did and whether or not t...
To be a philosopher is to keep unsullied and unscathed the divine spirit within him.
In my opinion , history is something that helps us remember the past , in order to better our future decisions. History is about the important past events that had a large impact back in the day, which contributed to the removal and or addition of certain things that build up our society today. People tend to do better once they become educated on what was going on in our past history. Having knowledge about the history of something is how one starts to progress in life and make adjustments in order to make your future into whatever you desire. If history didn’t exist we would have to
I define history as important events that have happened in the past, and the ones that are presently happening. At some time or another everything will be considered history. History tells a story, whether it’s written, painted, carved, or sung; a collection of events that someone explains to you that is usually important.
