Christmas Lights to See in San Antonio, Texas
I would have to say San Antonio, Texas, is one of the best places to see really pretty Christmas lights. San Antonio has Christmas lights lit up throughout the Riverwalk from the day after Thanksgiving through January of the following year.
At the Riverwalk in San Antonio, you can see Christmas lights dangling high up – from the tree branches, and almost down to the Riverwalk itself. They also have Christmas lights decorated along the little bridge, that goes over the Riverwalk.
You can also get a great view from the River Center Mall, where you can sit and relax, eat, drink, and listen to music, as you look at the beautiful decorations.
The Christmas lights on the Riverwalk, go a long way. It is always crowded with lots of tourists during Christmas time. You can also go to one of the restaurants along the Riverwalk, or stop by for a drink, or you could always stop by for a souvenir – right next to the Original Mexican Bar and Restaurant. A place where I used to work at.

if you want to see more Christmas lights you can go to Broadway Street. Drive all the way – until you get to Hildebrand, and there you can see the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) . At the UIW, they display more than 144,000 Christmas lights. Chicago also has multiple arena and stadiums to attend sporting and concert events, including Wrigley Field, US Cellular Field, Soldiers Field, United Center, Rosemont Theatre, and The Chicago Theater. I also visited Chicago's Lincoln Park Zoo on the lakefront, and Brookfield Zoo which is located Southwest of the city. If you want to spend time on Lake Michigan, there are many beaches for swimming, and piers for boating. I can honestly say that Chicago has a lot to offer. I never had a boring time. Of the many things I miss about not living in Chicago, one of them is the food. I love Chicago hot dogs, pizza, and Chinese cuisine. Chicago neighborhoods have multiple, family owned restaurants and hot dog stands. You have enormous menu choices from hamburgers, cheese fries, hand dipped ice cream and shakes, hot dogs, gyros, giant fried shrimp, Italian beef, and one of my favorites, the "Confused Chicken Sandwich". Christmastime was always a magical time of year for me. The beautifully decorated shopping malls, with toys everywhere you looked, always fascinated me. And the houses, with the way their lights would glow upon the glistening snow at night, always seemed to calm me. But decorating the Christmas tree and falling asleep underneath the warm glow of the lights, in awe that Santa Claus would soon be there, was the best part of it all. Frosty the Snowman waves hello alongside Santa 's reindeer that are ready to take off. Candy canes line the sidewalk and the ginger bread dolls dance in a merry circle. The trees all sparkle with thousands of red, yellow, purple, blue, and orange lights. Out back, Mary and Joseph stand over baby Jesus, Choo-Choo train’s chug in spot, stars twinkle with bright yellow bulbs, and Mr. and Mrs. Santa Clause wave in the distance. Finally, the mall is a wonderful entertainment center. Not only do people go there to shop, but they also got there for relaxation. There are movies sometimes as many as fifteen or sixteen. In addition, arcades are available for children, teens and adults. Some parents drop their children off at the arcade, give them a roll of quarters and pick them up after they have completed their shopping. For the hungry shopper there is a food court, which provides fast food for those shoppers who want to relax and possibly have a cocktail with their meal, other restaurants are available.
