I am clear that God has call me to Christian discipleship, as I began the journey as a pastor, I accept the fact that my life is not mine anymore, I knew that I had to fully depend on Christ, I can surely say that I find joy through serving in the church.
I remember when I accepted calling from the Lord when I was seventeen. As John Bunyan would describe in his writings, Christian life is like a pilgrimage. Though the journey can be painful time to time, but all steps of this journey is carefully planned by God so that the person would not be lost and come to Him. Likewise, the journey of my life is carefully planned by the Sovereign God.
My English and Korean may not be perfect, but as I was serving in the church, I realized that it is a privilege to serve God in both languages. Also, because of my experience as an immigrant, I can understand and embrace the identity crisis that the 1.5 and 2nd generation Koreans experience in their life. I want to help them to see Jesus Christ waiting for them on the journey of their lives, just how He met me on the road of my journey. Though I am still praying for a definite direction from the Lord, I want to and will take the next step trusting the Lord who has guided and will guide me throughout the journey of my life. …show more content…
