Child soldiers are kids who are usually under 18 that become a soldier and fight in a war, and most of the time they are forced, but sometimes this can be dangerous to and can be harmful to the child. Child soldiers are victims because they can get injured or even killed, can cause crimes, and are given drugs. Children are forced to do things because of their innocence and can be easily worked into becoming ruthless tools of wars. Children are being granted amnesty for fighting as victims in war that they shouldn’t be taking part of.

For many years, the debate about child soldiers has continued but still has no definite answer. Children are in risk of getting injured or even killed during wartime. Children should not be forced to be in an army and fight in a war because they are not experienced and don’t know what to do. Most of them have never used a gun before and might get killed during a war. According to the article, “The Child Soldier on Trial at Guantanamo” Andrea Prasow states “In bringing the murder in violation of the laws of war charge before a military commission, the U.S. government is saying that the killing of a combatant openly on the battlefield is a war crime when committed by an irregular combatant.” this sentence explains how Khadr, who is a kid
These kids are inexperienced at using a weapon so this can be dangerous or deadly to themselves and others. Child soldiers are not perpetrators because they have the choice to kill others which means they are criminals, but if they are forced to then are victims. Children shouldn’t be forced to become a soldier be given drugs before a war. But they should be given amnesty because they are only kids and they need pardon for being forced to do something.
