There were many activities provided for the children that they could succeed most of the time in and some that were more challenging. When the children began showing up, they were given many options to start playing and learning. As I was observing I was searching for all the activities that were provided for the children. They had sand, puzzles, materials for painting, a kitchen play-set, a garden where children could play in the dirt and plant seeds, plastic fruits they could sort by color, plastic animals of all sorts, real animals in cages that could look at, wooden building blocks, small puppet gloves that were the size of the children’s hands, a wooden play set they could climb and explore, a white board to color on, books, a piano, and even more toys and activities I couldn’t notice from where I was observing. He was adorable and so curious about everything in the room. The little boy walked over by the wooden play set that the children could climb up. One particular teacher was keeping her eye on him the entire time making sure his safety was secure. The little boy began climbing and the teacher let him climb all by himself, but was near him the entire time making sure he wouldn’t fall and get hurt. She even climbed up the wooden set with him at first until he got safely to the top. This was a perfect example of a teacher maintaining a safe environment and careful supervision, but encouraging the child to do what he is capable of without any
