In the 1900's Child labor was a terrible issue at hand. Kids from all over the world were forced or had no other choice but to work in factories, and forced to work under terrible conditions. In the letter above it is shown and can be understood that the working condidtion were not well and that there were many injuried that were happening. Kids were being forced to work simply becuase the economy was so down and children were forced to help and support there families. Becuase this wa such a must, factories and jobs didn't care about regualtions or safety percaustions becuase it was such a must to be working becuase of the need of money. What many didn’t know or actually even cared about was the working condidtiins the children were working in; it was such a nessesary thing for children to work that it didn't matter all the dangers that came with working. Things were not safe, children didn’t have to even wear safety equipment nor follow safety regulations because there simply was any . What this cause was many many injuties, varying form minor cuts to actually deaths. The children were exposed to so much trash and machinary chemicals and it was all very dangerous and deathly. In the first picture that is diplayed, it is seen that a little child is sweeping and he looks sad and unhappy. What can also can be seen in the first picture is the chid is wearing normal everyday clothes. Surrounding the child are huge machines and supplies that are in arm lengths from the children. For instance the child frist start off by explaining that one girl fell and broke her neck and died because of some ice that wasn't taken car of. This instantly shows and explains that children are dying on the job from falling; which is not a common things during this time. The second thing that is stated is that a man was hit by some cars and other were falling of bales of cotton and getting seriously injured if not dying completely. The child in the letter also explains the working hours, and how the are many long hours to work. What can be seen is the child actually likes working in the factory and he adivises others to do so. This shows that the deaths and injuries and violations didn't seem weird to them becuase it happened so often. And it shows the difference between the reality of it
