Recommended: How technology affects family relationships

Is child behavior worse than it was years ago? Yes, it has became worse considering certain statistics. Child behavior is worse because there is less discipline now. Not to mention that there are more things that influence bad behavior or wrong behavior. These days parents are not having the same discipline styles as they did back years ago. Child behavior was so much better years ago. Back in the earlier years there was so much discipline in school and at home. Many stated why it is like that but Haleema Khalid had one theory.

They are so many things now that influence bad behavior or wrong behavior. Khalid states in 2012, "Many bad influences have caused this to happen......Some of these include video games, TV, Internet, mobile phones, if children have it in the early years of their childhood as well as parents’ indisposition towards children’s upbringing." Everywhere kids turn now, there are bad impressions of what is okay behavior. So many shows and games exploit illicit behavior or violence. The last theory is permissive parenting a multiple amount of scholars stated,
"Permissive parents are nurturing, warm, and accepting. Their main concerns are to let children express their creativity and individuality and to make them happy (Neal 2000), in the belief that this will teach them right from wrong (Berger 2001). Permissive parents find it hard to set clear limits, provide structure, are inconsistent disciplinarians (Huxley 1998), and reward bad behavior regularly (Dworkin 1997). Children are not pushed to obey guidelines or standards that, even when they do exist, are not enforced (Barakat and Clark 1999)."
It is said in order to have your child to have good behavior then you must have a mixture of these three parenting styles. Never too much of one and never too less of
