Finally, the third change involves the utility uniform itself, also known as “cammies”, giving it a complete makeover. Another tactic of casinos is the lack of windows or clocks. The idea is to have gamblers not look at the outside world and concentrate on what is going on inside the casino. Without clocks, and with alcohol, how can someone who doesn’t have a watch know what time it is?
The school uniform is a way of showing its equality and should feel like a commitment and pride in a school and the student body. Borrey of EISAU wrote an article on “Why Should Students Wear School Uniforms?” explains that “Educational institutions have different ways of sourcing their apparel. Most of them hire school uniform suppliers who provide an affordable range of items like shirts, pants, skirts and blazers for regular days, and jerseys and jackets for sporting activities.” (Borrey) Several school systems even have grants from local foundations that cover the $20-25 cost of uniforms for the families that can’t afford them. There are even department stores that run specials on uniform attire because they are aware of the
You are less likely to be picked on or “judged” by other people if you are wearing uniforms. Because when those uniforms come on you are looked upon as equal. On the other hand when you wear your own clothes there is always the kid the does not have the “cool” clothes, or their clothes are not good enough, don’t match, doesn't follow the dress code. But suddenly that all goes away with a uniform.
Parents and their children are constantly arguing about the way students dress in school. This debate has become a national conversation which has been going on for more than a decade. However, there still hasn’t been a final resolution. The questions “Why do I have to wear the uniform today?” or “Can I wear this t-shirt because the color matches with my school t-shirt?” have become part of our everyday lives. Before we go any further, we have to understand the difference between uniforms and dress codes. A uniform is simply a garment worn that is the same in all cases and at all times. Whereas, a dress code is a set of rules regarding the required manner of clothing in a certain context. For instance, a school might not allow students to wear

School uniforms are affecting the amount of money spent on clothing in a negative way. Many people think parents/guardians are saving money, but really, they are just spending more money. If one were to think about it, school uniforms can’t be worn outside of school. Why would someone want to spend $300 on school uniforms, and then have to spend $200 on clothes worn outside of school?

A uniform is a standard set of clothes that is worn by a group of people. These people may be members of an organization or a group of people having the same ideas. There are thousands of kinds of uniforms in the world worn by people, such as police officers, firefighters, doctors, lawyers, security guards, and even fast-food restaurant workers. School uniforms are a controversial issue in schools today. Many schools have already adopted a policy mandating school uniforms, while many more are still considering the change. School uniforms create an atmosphere of equality in which the students are able to achieve to their best, while attaining the most out of their education. School uniforms should be mandatory to unite the school community as one, to instil discipline among the student body, and to eliminate distractions that will help students focus more, which in turn will help our society.
Parents are also impacted when schools require uniforms. Some argue that this policy is too expensive; uniforms are actually more affordable. For example, an average parent of a teen that attends a public school spends over $500.00 a year on clothes alone, while a parent of a teen with a uniform policy spends less then $200.00 a year. There are fewer clothes to purchase, therefore less money to spend.
