An excerpt from the show “Chicago Fire” Season 5, Episode 2, “A Real Wake-Up Call”

At house 51, while Severide was talking to Capp, Tony, and Cruz, the alarm blares and says something on the intercom.
“Ambulance 61, Truck 81, Squad 3. Multiple vehicle accident. The Ambo, Truck, and Squad are heading down at full force on Michigan Ave. “Squad. Check on that car.” Boden directs “81, you got the truck.” When they get there, they find a silver car crashed into a dark red and black truck that has a tan tarp over the back of it. They find a victim with a bleeding leg walking towards them. “Sir , have a seat. You shouldn't be on that leg.” Boden tells him “It was his fault! I had the right of way!” The victim tells Boden. Leaving the victim in the car. Boden orders 51 to get two lines going so they can hit the flames from a distance. “Wait, we’re just going to leave the victim?” Borrelli asks Boden. “81, drag that car clear.” Boden tells them. “I’ll hook up the chain.” Borrelli says. “No. Jimmy, spot Oits.” Matt tells him. “Mouch, Kidd, get the chain.” They run and get the bag that the chain is in. Severide comes and helps by putting it on the car. Jimmy complains that this is taking too long. “This is crazy, two or three of us could push this damn car out of the way.” Jimmy says. “Come on, who’s with me?” He asks moving towards the car. “Borrelli, get back here.” Boden demands. “Borrelli!!”/ Jimmy asks for help while walking towards the car. The BOOM!!! An explosion burst from the truck setting Jimmy on fire. He runs from the explosion falling onto the ground. They extinguish him an intubate on him.The left side of his face and neck are burned to a crisp, causing him to go into surgery and sadly losing his left eye. Now, if Jimmy had knew this lesson prior to the event, he would;ve stepped back, the explosion would’ve happen, Squad 3 gets the victim out of the car, Jimmy doesn’t go into surgery, and everyone goes back to house 51.
