Born on November 21st, 1956, Cherry Jones was born in Paris TN. She was born to a high school teacher mother and a flower shop owner father. She was born as a tomboy and spent a lot of her time outdoors, and never excelled in school very well. As she progressed in age, her mother often inspired her in many ways, one being an actress. As a teen Cherry attended Henry County High School where she began her acting career with the help of teacher, Linda Miller. As probably guessed, Cherry Jones is most known for being an actress. She is also known for winning many awards. She won the 5-Time Tony Award nominee for her work in Broadway. She won the Tony Award for “Best Lead Actress in a play for the 1995 Revival of The Heiress, and also for the …show more content…

She was in the popular show “24” and played as President Allison Taylor, for which she won an emmy. Although, most of her career was on Broadway playing in “Doubt” and winning the Best Lead Actress award. She also narrated audio books, one being the Laura Ingalls Wilder series, Little House on the Prairie. In 2014, Cherry Jones was inducted the American Theatre Hall of Fame. Cherry Jones has left many lasting impacts on today’s society. She has proven that if one works hard, they can be whatever they want to be. That even though you face hard times, everything will be okay. Most importantly that, never to forget about your hometown. As well as leaving impacts on today’s society, she has also left impacts on our own Paris Tn. She has left the impact of believing for one. Jones started acting around the age of five, from then on she kept on believing and now is one of the most popular and honored actresses of today. She has also left the impact of just because you came from a small town, does not mean you will be small to the world. Cherry Jones came from the same small town, from the same school.
