Teenagers, it is the state which is in-between kids and adults. This unstable state is a period of changing; from small to big, short to long, shallow to deep, everything changes so fast that their selves can not handle them at all. This story is well explained about Henry (teenager) becoming more mature by experiencing real hardship of war. Through out the story, Henry’s immaturity showed very clearly. Especially when he talks about his fantasy wars and heroes, it seems like he is a kid. He dreams about things that are unrealistic. This makes me to think of the play, “Glass Menagerie” which every character in the story is living in their own imagery world. In the play “Glass Menagerie,” there is a conflict between characters which caused by colliding of different world views of characters. All of them had their own world and nobody tried to get out of there to be changed. This conflict develops until the end of the story and finally ends up with Tom living the family, who is the head of the family. Some of them have a realization that they should be changed.
