Strong humanitarians, idealists and doers and dreamers. They tend to take on disproportionate amounts of responsibility when it comes to causes. They dedicate a lot of time to relationships and are concerned about humanity. Often mistaken to extroverts because they are outgoing and are interested in people. However, a true INFJ are introverts who can only be emotionally intimate with a small circle of friends and family. These friendships are said to be symbiotic. Sometimes, INFJs will withdraw into themselves and close out everyone even those whom they are most intimate. This is necessary for them to reboot and rebuild to prevent emotional overloads. This can cause a lot of confusion within some relationships if you’re not used to this kind of withdraw. They are very insightful into the motivations of others. INFJs may sometimes have a hard time articulating their deepest feelings due to an inner tug of war with idealism and compromising to reach a goal. They are not easily led astray, it is very difficult to fool them. They are found in emergency where they are the rescuers and fantasize themselves as the issuer of vigilante justices. Some famous INFJ are Shirley Temple Black, Martin Luther King, Jr., Tom Selleck, Mel Gibson and Jamie Foxx. According to the 16 personalities web site INFJs are known as the ADVOCATE- The INFJ personality type is very rare, making up less than one percent of the population, but they nonetheless leave their mark on the world. As Diplomats, they have an inborn sense of idealism and morality, but what sets them apart is the accompanying Judging (J) trait – INFJs are not idle dreamers, but people capable of taking concrete steps to realize their goals and make a lasting positive impact.
