Hey guys, so I haven't taken part in a Fangirl Friday in a while, so I thought I'd post about one of my recent favorite shows. Steven Universe is a show that made me stand on the verge of tears while surfacing. A show about space rocks that sing and cry constantly, how could I not be inclined to this TV show? This week was that exact Steven bomb, and I think I'm losing my mind! Everything about this weeks Steven Bomb was absolutely wondrous. Every single episode was stunning, and this whole week I've been rushing through my repeated classes to reach my home for these new episodes. It's hard to function on a place with new studies, culture, and to stay with the Crystal Gems and their beliefs. I'm so happy Peridot is finally realizing the Crystal Gems aren't so bad of people, and that the planet earth is amazing to be on. She may have her sudden outrages on the Crystal Gems beliefs on planet earth, but she's still learning. A HUGE spoiler here (btw ) : Peridot is now a Crystal Gem whether she likes it or not. In Thursdays episode, Peridot yells at her diamond ( yellow diamond ) that earth has things worth protecting. She stands up for herself, and just overall surprises the Crystal Gems to how loyal she is to saving earth life. I am so extremely proud for my Peridot! In the prologue of Friday Night Lights, by H.G. Bissinger, football team, Panther, has players who have fears/problems to overcome before a important game with their biggest rival the Midland Lee. The main characters include Boobie Miles who had dealt with a tragic accident on his knee the last game he played causing him to get surgery leading him to not play as well as he did before, Jerrod McDougal who knows he can’t make a collage team because of his height, Mike Winchell who lives in poverty with his mother, Ivory Christian who has a love/hate relationship with football, and Brian Chavez who is a gifted football player and student being on top in every class.
Doug Swieteck, from “Okay for Now”, by Gary D. Schmidt, lived a life in anger. At the beginning of the book, he was very hateful of everything. He had spent a long time in anger and disgust, trying to find a way in life. Near the beginning of the book, Joe Pepitone gave Doug his baseball cap and jacket in person, to Doug. But, Doug’s mean older brother took the cap and his dad took his jacket. That added to Doug’s anger even more. But, luckily he turned it around in the middle and end of the book. He ended being a lot happier and was able to control his emotions better.
Everybody Loves Raymond Everybody Loves Raymond is a family sit com television show about a married father of 3 children residing across the street from his parent’s house, therefore, his family are constantly interrupted by the kids, his brother, and parents. Season 1 episode 1 starts off with Raymond and his wife struggling to balance life with kids, work, and family. Since his wife is a stay at home mother of infant twins and a 3 year old girl, Raymond allows his wife to take a day off with her girlfriends and to enjoy herself without the supervision of his parents, inviting them without permission or an advance notice. As a result, Raymond’s failure to satisfy his family by lying soon gets caught. The scene allows him the perfect opportunity to voice out his feelings about the privacy of his own house.
In the book Geek Love by Katherine Dunn, there are many Strong and powerful characters. There are a few females in the book that are powerful in their own way and some are not so much. Olympia, Elly and Iphy are the females that interest me to write about. The three females are siblings. These three individuals have different roles in the book. They grow up in a family travel carnival. They all have different personalities. Each individual has a different way that show they are powerful women or eventually have some power.

Ask Daphne did you hear anything about what happen to your friends and she said’’ I got to go. Daphne rushed to the hospital to see Travis and Natalie. She ask Travis what happened to you, as a result; Travis said” me and Natalie were walking across the street and then drunk driver got hit by us”.

Much as we later learn that she is a mother, she purposefully abandoned all that makes her a mother and assumes the position of a girl (Martydon of Perpetua and Felicitas 50). This further demonstrates that all she wants to invest her energy on, is Christ. Upon being baptized, Perpetua is sent to prison together with other several Christian companions and her infant so (Martydon of Perpetua and Felicitas 49). Here, we are able to infer that her relationship with the family is ambiguous and complex. This strained relationship is evident in the way Perpetua presents her own father, whom she views as a devil (Martydon of Perpetua and Felicitas 50). However, by receiving comfort from the brother and mother, she distinguishes herself as a lady who is up to embrace only those who grant her support to serve Christ. By being tormented even by taking care of her son, Perpetua gives the image of a devoted Christian who is ready to devote her whole time, life, and body to Christ (Martydon of Perpetua and Felicitas 51). This implies that she is not ready to take the naturally ties lightly. Also, based on the first half of her story that builds up to the vivid public break with her family roles as a mother and a daughter, Perpetua stands out as a real martyr ready to sacrifice anything for the sake of serving
“Everybody Loves Raymond” is a television show that only few people today can actually say they had not seen this sitcom. It was one of the highest rated show during it run on CBS television network but has anyone ever noticed how much of a gender stereotype bonanza this show was? Most sitcoms follow the same pattern with the primary goal to make us laugh that, we tend to ignore the obvious and just assume this was the expected behavior for men, women even children in our society. I watched the first two episodes of Everybody Loves Raymond, the show was about a stay at home mother Debra and her husband Raymond who goes to work, while her in-laws who lives across the street are always barging in to her home without a thought about what
In the graphic novel, Persepolis, the main character, Marjane, faces many coming of age moments. Each one of these change her in a way that impacts her view on the world around her as her and her family strive for a better life amongst a war that hinders their ability to follow their beliefs. Marjane learns to forgive, experiences pain and suffering, and changes her opinions on God and her own views on religion forever. Marjane’s life has been filled with hard times, but also glorious moments as well.
I have read quite a few reviews and comments about the episode Sunday night and many fans think it was not the best episode of the series. I honestly do not know how they arrived at that conclusion. The second season premiere showed a lot of promise for The Strain after what I thought was an 'good' first season. They reflected on the finale last summer while expanding on the mythology that will propel the stories into this season and, hopefully, seasons to come. It was a great episode and I am excited to see this season unfold and see what it has to offer. Especially with the promise of the 'real' Mr. Quinlan around the midpoint of the season, this second season of The Strain should be everything we have hoped, wanted it to be and

Throughout the story the main character loses her innocence. The author uses the appeals of genre, ethos, pathos, and logos, historical context, and illustration to depict the loss of innocence in the main character.

In the world today, there are many people who make bad decisions. For example, talking to a friend when the teacher is teaching, drinking soda before playing a instrument, or even forgetting to eat breakfast. One must understand that for every action there are consequences, some worse than others. In the book ‘Monster’ Steve Harmon was indeed the lookout for the robbery, but was not responsible for the murder of Mr. Nisbet (the store owner). How is this so apparent? While reading the book there are several clues as to why Steve was the lookout but not the murderer. For example there’s a scene where Steve is talking to James King about being the lookout, a scene where he lies under oath, and he was at the scene of the crime just before it went
