With this role change, both are able to appreciate each other’s important role in their family dynamic. Being a stay at home mother is harder than it sounds, so if the roles were to be swapped there would be a greater respect for each other’s contribution. Just because you are a stay at home parent doesn’t mean that you have you give up on your dreams and things you love to do. Staying at home you still have to work from of so things that you like. The way that others view a stay at home dad could affect how that father may see himself as well
Many people gives a lot of advantages of inter-caste and inter-religious marriage to protect and support it. However, we also need to look at the issue from different directions. Beside the advantage, there are many extreme problems go along with this issue. Inter-caste and inter-religious marriage can cause problems in family and society that leads to protestation of the social norms and rules of family and community, many tragedies due to conflicts and objectivism, and the increasing of divorce rate. Inter-caste and inter-religious marriage means against norms and rules of family and society in many places.
As for men, it is now acceptable for them to stay at home, take care of their families or even become nannies and nurses. Will Meek, creator of website “Psychology of Men”, defined gender role as a set of attitudes, behaviors, and self-presentation methods ascribed to members of a certain biological sex. Gender roles have changed throughout the course of American history; both sexes have come so far from sexist stereotypes that resulted from societal expectations that existed in the past. Women belong in the kitchen, and men only care about sex. These are examples of stereotypes of men and women that people continue to joke around about.
Lately the outlook has changed on women dedicated their lives to homemaking. Jobs were initially generated for men because they were strong. But now the barrier is being broken and socially accepted for who they are and not for the role they are to play in society.
Generations have taught children that women should serve the men and be the ones that clean the house. Although, there are some exceptions to this idea. Women who are single mothers should be able to work and maintain a job just as men. Also, men could be able to clean and cook for their families without being judged by others. Finally, gender roles in a society should not determine a person ability to maintain emotions or
Because men believe that their personal power is built upon family strength, they demand their wives to raise their future generations. This alone proves that men do not truly see their wives as idiotic considering they trust them to create a strong family and future generation. Men in the 1800’s would enable the rights of women, allowing them to only be good for to raise a family, by the way they treated their wives but as generations and years have progressed, women have continuously been brought down by men but also through the use of female roles in media. Beginning in the early 1800’s men, their wives and children made the voyage across to America, yet women might as well have been viewed as not a wife but another piece of land, just in a new country considering women’s duties were the same in both the east and the west. In both locations men and women were believed to be apart of “different spheres.” Barbara Welter elaborates on these spheres through her essay “The Cult of True Womanhood: 1820-1860” (1966).
They were the nurturing moms who stayed home, cooked, and cleaned. On the other hand, there were the men who had to be tough and make the money for their family. The change in tradition has the largest impact on why men and women have become equal. The tradition carried on so long because women were seen as inferior to men. Women have started to get degrees and make money instead of letting their husband do the breadwinning.

The roles of men and women have been engrained in the mind of society for centuries. The evolution of gender roles has not been entirely natural. Gender roles have developed since the beginning of time and have acquired a strong position in modern culture. They have been exacerbated by society’s stereotypes which strongly influences people’s actions. People’s unwillingness to be independent in what they do, without being influenced by societal norms, is a strong factor in the pervasive nature of these roles in society.
