Is Censorship necessary?

“Once a government is committed to the principle of silencing the voice of opposition, it has only one way to go, and that is down the path of increasingly repressive measures, until it becomes a source of terror to all its citizens and creates a country where everyone lives in fear." -- Harry S Truman

Thesis: Although some people believe that censorship is adequate to select what things does the society will be good and can live around it while others believe that there should be no censorship because it takes away your right of expression of freedom.
Definition of obscenity: the state or quality of being obscene; obscene behavior, language, or images.
Definition of Censorship: the practice of officially examining books, movies, etc., and suppressing unacceptable parts.

Censorship in the media:
Every time we look at a program either a newsletter or hear a talk show enclosing political, social or something affecting a certain group of elite people we see censorship issues, as these programs often are banned for many reasons such as: any partner or channel or media owner, someone with influence, threats, etc. That's why most of the time we see in the media the opinions of those who have more influence and power.
The media censorship appears in various forms and in almost all countries; few have legal systems that guarantee absolute freedom of the media.
The most effective way to ensure the freedom of the media system is one in which the media have the ability to make careful decisions alone.
