A cell phone is a device that enables us to communicate with our friends and families. It enables us to receive radio links that is moving around a wide environment area. Nowadays there are millions of users all over the world who uses the phone. The first to invent phone was Martin Cooper in 1970’s. Nowadays phones are so advanced that it is used in many different ways. People use for downloading apps, playing games, texting people, calling friends etc. When we talk over the phone many types of radiation are given out like microwave radio waves etc.
There are two main types of radiation, ionizing and non-ionizing. The ionizing radiation is the energy is carried out by several types of particle rays (electromagnetic radiation), which is given off by the radioactive material, X-ray machines, and nuclear reaction. These energy bump electrons out of the molecules with which they interact, therefore creating ions.
The non- ionizing radiation, such as the release by a laser, us different because it does not create ions when it interacts with matter but evaporates energy generally form of heat.
The three main types of ionizing radiation are alpha particles, beta particles and gamma rays.
An alpha ray particle consists of two protons and two neutrons and it is identical to the nucleus of helium atom. An alpha particle has a shortage range (several centimeters) in air and cannot overrun the outer layer of skin.
The other one is beta particles that can be either be negative(negatron) or positive (positron).Negatrons are identical to electrons and originate in the nucleus of an atom that undergoes radioactive decay by changing a neutron into a proton. A positron is released from an atom that decays by changing a proton into a n...

I have used org or edu for most of my searches because those websites are reliable and the information on it cannot be changed or edited. Whereas if I had used wiki or com my answers would not have been reliable because answers on those websites can be edited or changed. After doing this research I have found out how much harm can cell phones do to us and how does it affect us in our daily lives. Nowadays, even small children are able to use the phones; they are able to operate it without being taught. But it is not taken from them it can cause them a great effect. Also the cell phones give out radiations when they are in use and that affects us in many ways. I now know how the cell phones work and what type of radiation it gives out.
years, cell phone companies and researchers have debated about the effect of cell phones on the health of the user and have been assessing the dangers associated with the use of cell phones, including the potential to cause types of cancer. The cause for this concern, according to the National Cancer Institute, is that cell phones emit radiofrequency energy (radio waves), a form of electromagnetic radiation, and tissues nearest to where the phone is being held can absorb this form of radiation. Electromagnetic
Cell phones are one of the greatest inventions in the world. We can imagine how life would be without cell phones. Cell phones are very handy; it can make our communication easier. Also cell phones can provide us with everything, like relaxing with music, browsing the internet, chatting on social networking sites or playing games. Unfortunately cell phones are not risk free. Using cell phones involve emission of EMR electromagnetic radiation, which is a dangerous sort of energy wave, is produce by
Electromagnetic Radiation and Its Effect on the Human Body In 1998 a Maryland neurologist, Dr. Christopher Newman, was diagnosed with brain cancer and he could no longer work as a result of his disease. He claimed that the Motorola cell phone he had in 1992 to keep in touch with his patients gave him cancer. Then in 2000, he filed an $800 million lawsuit against several wireless providers including Motorola Inc., Verizon Communications Corp., Bell Atlantic Mobile Systems, and others. Within a month
A cell phone, also referred to as a cellular phone, transmits electromagnetic radiation into the air. This occurs, when your cell phone has to connect to a phone, you want to have a conversation with, by checking for networks Electromagnetic radiation, which is often abbreviated as EMR, is a form of energy which when travels through space, displays a wave like behaviour. Electromagnetic radiation has electric and also magnetic field components. Electric fields are generated by electrically charged
Introduction Cell phones were invented by Dr. Martin Cooper who led a team of developers at Motorola and made the first cell phone call in April 3, 1973 at Motorola. Cell phones are handheld devices used by many people these days. Cell phones are a big help to the people using it. Cell phones allow you to keep in touch with family and friends around the world. Mobiles phones use and transmit waves to receive and send signals and let out radiation. However, there is a bit of a problem with these devices
Cell phones represent a type of technology that has been around for more than over fifty years; it has only been recently that many people began to use cell phones as a major part of their everyday life. In the past cell phones were for business people to conduct their business, but in today’s society every one owns a cell phone. Cell phones are interesting, useful and also play a major role in our life’s bringing people closer and keeping in touch with one another. Most people do not know and understand
telephones were introduced. Right now, most people have cell phones (wireless communication technology) which work by radiofrequency exposure in an electromagnetic field. Because cell phones are very important devices in our lives, people use them a lot .Not only do people use cell phones to communicate, but also they use them to take pictures, to search the internet and to send text messages. As a result, people are spending a lot of time with mobile phones which work in an electromagnetic field. There are
Health Risks of Cell Phones Health risks have started to be associated with radiation exposure from certain technological devices. Cell phones are popular in society today. Ever since the discovery of the device back in the late 1900’s, people have been interested in what they can do. Over the years cell phones have developed into bigger and better objects. Researchers have helped to make cell phones appealing to all ages in society. Cell phones have become easier to use because of the size, shape
Dangers of Cell Phones The world’s first mobile phone call was made on April 3, 1973, when Martin Cooper, a senior engineer at Motorola, called a rival telecommunications company and informed them he was speaking via a mobile phone. The phone Cooper used, if you could call it that, weighed a staggering 1.1kg and measured in at 228.6x127x44.4mm. With this prototype device, you got 30 minutes of talk-time and it took around 10 hours to charge.”(knowyourmobile). Back then cell phones weren’t as flashy

loves the sound of their phone ringing; it makes them happy to know that they have friends. Cell phones are important in today's society; some would even not know what to do without their devices. They help in peoples every day life, they have a mind-blowing history, but they are also dangerous to your body if you use them too much. They can be used in a life threatening emergency, they go back to 1949, but can also give off radiation to cause brain cancer. Cell phones can either help you or hurt
Radiation Have you ever been to the doctor and got an X-Ray? If so, you have just been exposed to radiation. Radiation is the emission of energy from any source. Two examples of radiation are light that comes from the sun and the heat that is constantly coming off the human body. Electromagnetic spectrum is the range of wavelengths or frequencies in which electromagnetic radiation extends. The wavelengths range from low energy (low-frequency) to high energy (high-frequency). Radiofrequency radiation
this title, I imagine how many people in our generation do not fall under in this category. In today’s world it is hard to go anywhere without seeing someone talking on a cell phone. Even if it’s walking, driving, or playing is the streets, you will be able to see them everywhere. Whether or not someone answering their cell phone is increasing the likelihood of fatal brain cancer, is in question. Apparently in recent years there has been much research completed looking for a solid answer to the question
There are a lot of great discoveries and cool stuff in science but some people might not know about them. For example: nuclear energy, nuclear power plant, and chemistry of fission, etc. Some people might not even know why radiation is dangerous, or what happened in the Yucca Mountain. It is also good to know accidents in a nuclear power plant because it doesn’t give a fantastic result. It caused some accidents at Chernobyl and the terrible disaster in japan caused by the tsunami. But nuclear
talking about how cell phones can give girls cancer and how guys can hurt their sperm count by using cell phones But first, I talk about that cell phones work by sending signals and receiving them from nearby cell towers using Radio Frequency waves this is a form of electromagnetic energy that falls between FM radio waves and microwaves. At very high levels, Radio Frequency waves can heat up body tissue. That's how a microwave oven works. The levels of energy given off by cell phones are much lower
