Cell Phones Banned at Schools

In other word, students who pay too much attention to their cellphones become uninterested in learning during class lectures and they would like socializing more than listening to the lectures . This behavior can also affect others in class and distract them. Many school boards have been worried that cellphones can impede education, therefore they banned using it. Students should have a controlled environment to be able to learn successfully. Cellphones should be banned in schools because they create distraction in class, they can be used for cheating on the tests and privacy invasion issue.

Many places, including schools, have taken measures to put in place new rules to ban many new technological advances. In my school the principal and school board has recently put in place a cell phone ban, which will make it illegal to use your cell phone during school hours. This new ban is already taking effect in my school, Secret Scare High School, and is quickly spreading across the nation and is well supported. Cell phones are a nascence when in school and it is a good idea to have them banned during school hours with the use of cell phones in school you haves disruptions in the classroom, temptations to cheat or blackmail someone, a decline in grades, and trouble with the principle and the police. Also cell phones can be costly and they may not get service in school so there is not really a point to use them in school.

According to the school officials, the current rule allows students can have their cell phones turned off in the class which is not a good idea. So schools should ban students having cell phones at all in the class due to the following two reasons: Distraction and Cheating, having cell phones in elementary schools is a distraction. Because students aged between five to ten doesn’t have the potential to control their emotions, the most important thing for the students is to keep track of his lessons. It is obvious that students do spend maybe a little too much time on their phones during the day but is a ban really going to stop them? The only way to really stop a student from using their cell phone is to take it away but even then there are times where the student may tell the teacher that they don’t have the phone on them. New York City schools have put a strict ban on cellphones in their school and is even taking it to the extreme of confiscating it at the door via metal detectors. Many teachers believe that cell phones don’t belong in a classroom because there are several disadvantages. An example maybe a student who uses a cell phone in class has no intension in listening or paying attention to the teacher. This student has a short attention span who cares about socializing more than his/her education. Cell phones can be very disruptive; they can invade people’s privacy and can also be used as harassment or bullying. The usage of cell phones is creating a huge problem particularly when they are used in school.

Cell phones have become a growing problem in educational institutions, as they pose a threat to student’s education. The negative impacts they create when used during a lesson are catastrophic. Teachers and professors are now trying to prevent the usage of these devices, as teachers know how harmful they are to a student’s education. However, the debate is whether teachers should be allowed to defer the usage of theses device in the classroom for the sake of the student’s education. Since there is an immense amount of data behind the use of theses device and the damaging effects they have when used during school.

Cells Phones Should Be Allowed In Schools Many have debated if cell phones should be allowed in school. Elementary through middle school should not be allowed to have cell phones at their access at all time because they are children who need to focus solely on school. Cells for them would be a distraction. As for high school students, they have different needs for a phone. One of the reason is because of emergencies.

For example, students should turn off their cell phones and put in their lockers. Also, students should be allowed to use cell phones before and after school and in case of emergency. Students should not be allowed to use cell phones in school because cell phones distract students, inappropriate usage, and have a negative influences on students. Cell phones distract students from learning. Some students use cell phones during class.

The banning of books in school curriculum has also been debated since parents see certain books as inappropriate while others argue that banning them hinders student learning. In order to understand how banning books in schools affect student learning, it is important to understand why books are banned in the first place. If parents describe a book as inappropriate or offensive for children, they can complain about it to the school district to have it banned.
