Family violence

Family violence is an abusive action used by a person so that he/she can control or even hurt a member of their family. This type of violence can be seen in different forms. Physical abuse, emotional abuse and neglecting are the some of the main forms of family violence and all of these forms have negative effects on the family members especially on children. The physical abuse can be seen in different ways such as slapping, pushing, shooting and kicking too. On the other hand, emotional abuse can be formed by using a word which might seem silly to some, but actually, by using a bad word, yelling and also insulting can affect anyone too quickly. The first reason is family problems. The family is the place that we need to find love in it, serenity and also the first place that we start to learn in about everything. And since the members of the family have problems such as divorce, this might end up by causing fights and violence. The weakness of religious faith is the main second reason. As Muslims, we get to learn a lot from Quran and Islamic teachings and these should be the two most important sources that we follow in our lives. But some people have lack of religious faith and that leads to several complications and also can cause violence. On the other hand, we can also consider the difficulties in living conditions as a reason to. We can say that the poor income of the family is the main reason that people wonder about a worry. Taking drugs is also an important reason which is causing violence. Drugs are one of the most dangerous things that a person can deal with and it causes numerous negative effects to its dealers, especially his health and brain. Likewise, violence can also lead to crimes. The article “Family violence signals ignored” by Cox News (1989) stets a study about murders and crimes that happened during 1984 in Atlanta, and the study results show that most of the crimes were caused by family members due to family issues and other crimes are caused by people who already have criminal records. In addition, violence is being caused because of many reasons and some of these reasons are family issues, lack of faith, taking drugs and other social problems. And if family violence did not stop, it may lead to several family problems and it might even cause some serious crimes. Besides the reasons, we also have some good ways to help parents and other family members to decline this type of violence and try to stop it. For example, we can increase the importance of family values and strength so that the parents pay more attention to the way they treat their children’s. Likewise, we should all take care of our families and treat them in a good way. Also, we need to be aware of the consequences of what might happen if we did not change our behavior or the way that we treat the kids with.
