Interview Task 1 | Zachary Geller Research: I did not know exactly what brand of “smart” board we are talking about A google search for “smart boards cbsd” brought up a link about SMART software training for teachers https://www.cbsd.org/Page/21533 [Link 1] This led me to believe that “SMART” is the actual brand of software + equipment that cbsd may be using Googling ‘“SMART” NOTEBOOK SOFTWARE’ brought up https://education.smarttech.com/products/notebook [Link 2] the logo from the training material on the previous link 1 and the one on the second link matched up for the “SMART” font. So after finding the device manufacturer's website I was able to find troubleshooting links under their support page You can choose which specific model the teacher uses and that provides additional troubleshooting manuals Attempt and Problem Solving: Now the issue here is that the ticket provided to the IT department has minimal helpful information. We only got “it was an emergency.” The teacher needed to present a project. (per prompt) Also, I do not know if the issue is with either not being able to turn on the board or something to do with a function of the board (touch/display/video/ sound/etc). Per manufacturer's website, we should do the classic turn it on/off and remove any devices that had been recently plugged into the board. If that doesn’t resolve the issue, we should check to make sure the UPC/surge protector is working by plugging in another known working device (cell phone charger) just to make sure it’s not a power
