The employees will start their training when they first start working at Samsung and continue with training as often as once a month for the duration for their career (Samsung.(n.d)). The first strategies that has been take by the company is a Chemical, Safety & Health training for Samsung Semiconductor Employee. At Samsung, all the employees receive training on managing, storing and handling of chemical as well as a proper disposal of chemical waste. This training also include the program such as Certified chemical training for 24 hours per year. Employee that can handle a chemical substances participate in this online training, which including properties of chemical substances, protection techniques and protective equipment requirements, and as well as accident and emergency response. Fire-fighter on staff also provides a separate 4 hour on-the-job training. Next, the material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) training for about 4 hours. The employees were learning about the detailed of the properties in material used in the manufacturing process as well as how to respond in the event of a hazardous situation. Lastly is the Emergency Response Training (ERT) which is within 8 Hours. This training is only suitable for the engineers who are responsible for the machinery used in the semiconductor fabrication process receive additional training on proper response to emergency situations.
