Abstract
This paper explores about the case of Bank Century that happen in 2008, in that case Bank Century get injected money from Bank Indonesia because of several reasons, one of the reasons is because there are a lot of customers want to withdraw their money, and those customers could withdraw any of their money. Moreover, this paper will explain how and why that problem happen and what is the government do to facing that problem.

Introduction Pramuka Savings and Development Bank (PSDB) was incorporated in 1997 as the first private savings bank in Sri Lanka. Mr. Rohan Perera was the founder of Pramuka Bank and was the founder and chief executive officer of Seylan Bank previously. After resigning from Seylan Bank, Mr. Perera applied for license to incorporate a commercial bank from Central Bank Sri Lanka. But Central Bank only gave license to operate a Savings and Development Bank. But that was also a debatable topic.

In conclusion, we feel that the recommendation we have suggested in this report is a suitable foundation to build a sustainable and prudent financial system in this country. This will facilitate the financial industry both, withdraw out of this crisis and in the future avoid as much as possible inducing the scale of matters at present. As the report suggest, everyone contributed in their own miniscule way to this crisis, we feel that it’s up to every one of us to contribute to the overall recovery of this financial crises and recovery of the nation in general.
As the world has recently passed through the global financial crisis that begun in 2008 in the USA with the banks’ collapsing, analysts are giving different opinions and making new economic hypothesizes about the origin of, as well as the process of different countries escaped from the crisis. Among all these new “theories”, the case of Islamic banks is interesting in terms of its nature and consequences. In my essay, I will try to highlight the basic principles of the Islamic finance, the reasons of the restriction of interest, the most important tools used by Islamic banks in economic activities and brief explanation of them, and finally my view point of the probable future improvement of the Islamic financial system.
