Like Coastal Carolina University, we are dedicated to placing the needs of our members at the center of everything we do. Our commitment is twofold with a team comprised of fully trained staff and volunteers.
Under Kappa’s governance model of leadership, Fraternity Council sets the strategic direction of the organization. To perpetuate our vision and accommodate our growing membership, Kappa’s volunteer structure is arranged to provide mentorship and support that is expert focused and readily available.
Our chapters and alumnae associations are organized into 14 districts, each led by a District Director and Content Specialists. Coastal Carolina would be in Mu District, which includes Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.
We have identified critical areas across the organization and matched each with a Content Specialist, a volunteer who has expertise in her assigned area. These areas include:

There will also be informational sessions to educate interested women about the organization and the membership selection process for a new chapter. Interested women will sign up for Meet & Greets— informal interviews — where they will meet with the Chapter Consultant and Leadership Consultants to learn more about the organization and discuss the Kappa experience. The goal is to have at least 250 women participate in the Meet & Greets.
Once Meet & Greets are completed, Kappa will extend bids to a select number of women. The number of bids provided will equal chapter total. Those who accept bids will then go through our Formal Pledging Ceremony to officially become new members. The Coordinator of Chapter Development, advisers and area alumnae volunteers will further support these efforts as need
