INTRODUCTION: This case involves the suspect attempting to shoot the victim with a loaded firearm. LOCATION DESCRIPTION: This incident occurred near the area of La Pintoresca Park located at 1435 N. Raymond Avenue. EVIDENCE: Item: Description: 1 Razor scooter INVESTIGATION: On 02-09-16 at 1425 hours, Officer Reep #7306 and I monitored the radio traffic from Pasadena Police Dispatch that shots were fired in the area of La Pintoresca Park located at 1435 N. McGriff heard someone whistling at the rear gate of his residence. McGriff looked out the living room window and saw two male Blacks standing outside of the rear fence, located on Iowa Street. The two males told McGriff they were not looking for him as they continued to stand next to the fence. McGriff saw that one of the males was carrying a chrome colored “Razor” scooter. McGriff described the first male Black as light in complexion with short hair, NFD. The second male Black was described as dark in complexion with short hair, NFD. McGriff told me he would not be able to identify the two males if seen again. Approximately four minutes later, McGriff heard one gun shot and believed it can from the rear of his residence. McGriff walked out of the front door of his residence which is located upstairs on the north side of the building, to investigate the noise. McGriff saw two female Blacks in the next door neighbor’s rear yard behind a storage container (1402 N. Raymond Avenue). McGriff asked the two females if they needed assistance. Torres told me the camera is not activated. Torres described the victims as male Blacks with dark complexions, approximately 17 years of age, between 5’06” in height and about 150 lbs., NFD. Torres described the suspect as a male Black approximately 17 years of age and casually dressed, NFD. Torres told me he would not be able to identify the above individual’s if seen again. I check of the following addresses for additional witnesses but met with negative results: 1402 N. Raymond Avenue and 1421 Iowa Street (No answer). I was unable to locate any witnesses or additional evidence.
